Chapter 39

I've been sitting in this room for hours, just staring at the wall. Jenna, Sora, Xavier, Zach, Kyou, and Luke would come in from time to time, trying to get me to get out of bed, but each time, I'd just ignore them.

"JORDAN! I WILL TWERK!" Jenna threatens. That cracks a small smile from me and Jenna gasps.

"SHE MOVED!" Jenna calls out, towards the door. People stumble in and a person in a white lab coat trips before catching himself and straightening out his lab coat and what not. 

"I'm Mr.Willis and shall be examining you today," the lab coat person introduced.

"Examining me for what?" I ask at him, glaring. I don't like this guy.

"He isn't doing shit, I got you to talk, thus I have you to myself for the next day," Jenna glares, pushing the guy out of the room as he splutters for words. She shuts the door in his face and the room goes quiet for a minute or two.

"Did you find out who did it?" I ask quietly. Sure, Tiffany may not have been the best sister, nor was she ever close to being, but when you watch a person die in front of you, it's quite tramatizing. I notice Kyou, Luke, zach, and Xavier give each other a secretive glance before returning their gazes elsewhere.

"No, we haven't," Xavier answers.

"But we do have school tomorrow," Sora point out. Ohhhh chiz. This Tiffany murder thing can wait. My grades come before everything, no matter what. 

"I have math homework," I groan, dragging myself out of bed and downstairs. Jenna panicks and Sora shrugs.

"I NEED TO COPY OFF OF YOUR HOMEWORK!" Jenna starts breathing heavily. Oh no, it's like fifth grade all over again.

"NO!" I yell as I run down the stairs and look for my backpack. Once I find it, Sora jumps on my back and locks my arms behind me as Jenna fumbles through my backpack.

"NO! NOOOOOO!" I scream as she pulls out the half complete Calculus BC homework. Xavier runs down the stairs  Sora lets go of mee and Jenna shoves the piece of paper into her shirt as they both look at the guys in a completely innocent manner. Those. Little... I'm going to kill them.

"What's happening?" Xavier asks as he comes up behind me and hugs me, resting his head on my shoulder. I glare down Jenna and Sora as my arms remain crossed.

"Nothing," I lie. Jenna releases the breathe she's been holding and loses her previously straight posture, relaxing. Xavier kisses me cheek and I turn my head to glare at him, only he towers over me and I would fall over if I tried meeting his eyes without moving. He knows I hate PDA, I once had to sit in a car for an hour with a friend and her boyfriend making out in the corner, but ever since the end of middle school, I haven't seen her around. There's a knock at the door and the guards opening it, revealing Marie(her mum).

"YOU BITCH! SHE'S DEAD BECAUSE OF YOU!" my mum cries as she steps towards me before the guards hold her arms back. She sobs and the memory of the smell of Tiffany's blood floods my senses. She stops sobbing for a moment, trying to lunge for me again. Sora walks over with her katana and glare as mum.

"You may leave now, unless you want this through your head," she threatens. The guards get the message as mum is lead out, sobbing wildly.

"Oh dear, I heard about the... unfortunate event, how did she even get in Kyou?" Queen Anna asks, walking down the stairs and to where our little group is. 

"We aren't sure Anna," he answers. The Queen sighs with a small grimance before covering it up with a sad smile towards me. I return it as she goes over to Zach, repremanding him for not being dressed up. King Jackson rushes down the stairs in a hurry.

"All of you children, we are having important guests tonight so we will be having all of you dressed up, Fabio, Jean Paul, Claudia, Marcy, and Lily, have these people dressed up in the best," he huffs as he appoints each one of the people behind him one of us. 

"After her sister was killed in front of her? This is proposterous Jackson!" Queen Anna complains as she chases after him as he keeps walking. I quietly walk over to the girl, Lily, that the King assigned to me. Xavier begins to protest before I shoot him a glare. Payback's a female dog. This is what he gets for PDA, I shan't speak to him. 

"I'm Jordan," I introduce as we head upstairs and down the hall, towards the green room I've been in so many times.

"Lily, as you know," Lily mutters, her short blonde hair covering her face from my view. Surprisingly, there's already a rack with a beautiful dress on it and the vanity is covered in beauty supplies. Lily seats me in the chair in front of the mirror and examines me hair.

"How do you brush hair this curly?" she mutters to herself a little too loudly. I hold back a smile and shrug. She pulls out a few clips, a brush, and a straightener.

"How do you feel about straightening your hair?" she asks me. I smile and nod.

"Great."

After hours of face painting and hair pulling, I've finally pulled on the soft white dress with lace sleeves. The thing about lace, it's itchy. Lily pulls the sleeves back down to their full length as I keep pulling them up.

"Hurry up!' someone calls from the door.

"I'm coming Marcy," Lily responds, giving me a hard galre before pulling the sleeves down for a final time. I meet Xavier in the hall as he holds his elbow out, looking over my seemingly innocent dress. He gives me a wink and I respond with a glare. I place my hand on his arm and slip on the white flats that I was allowed to wear. There was no way I was going to wear heels. Heels and I don't go together. Xavier breaks me out of my thoughts as he leads me down the stairs, to the foyer, but I didn't expect for him to be there.

Oooooooh, who do you think 'he' is? I think I have an idea of who, but things can change at any moment.

Anyways, I must sleep.
