The Vampire's Mate

Chapter 32

"What do you want Hunter?" Xavier hisses, his eyes going crimson as he stands in a protective stance in front of me.

"Isn't it obvious enough? I. Want. Jordan," he snaps sharply, glancing at me before smirking at Xavier. He's gotten taller, he meets Xavier's height. Xavier hisses again, this time louder, making me blink back into reality.

"You aren't going to lay a fucking finger on her," Xavier roars, making Hunter growl in return.

"Both of you idiots need to calm the fudge down," I finally speak in frustation. They glance at me, their killer looks dimming.

"Listen here Hunter, I am not your mate, and to prove it-" I begin as I walk around Xavier and poke Hunter's arm tentively. Nothing. No shock, absolutely nothing.Hunter's eye's widen as he moves to grip my arm. Nothing.

"Let go of her," Xavier hisses, coming to my side and pulling me out of his grasp. 

"T-there's nothing, she isn't my mate," Hunter mutters to himself. His face clouds over with anger and fur sprouts out of his human skin.

"FUCKING HELL," he booms, brown fur rapidly spreading as his clothes rip. Oh frickle, he's going full wolf.

"Calm down Hunter," Xavier warns in a cold tone as he starts ushering me into the door of the limo. Hunter's bright yellow eyes snap to us and he lunges.

Sora's POV

"HYYYYYYYYYYYYYY YAAAAAAA!" I declare as I slice through another demon with ease. Ace flies down beside me as more come from the woods. He takes out a dagger and throws it right at one, which vanishes and the dagger continues it's journey until it hits a tree, killing three more on it's way.

"Nice, but can you do this?" I smirk as I pull out my second katana and slice through a good six demons with grace, three demons per katana.

"Yeah yeah, now let's kill these motherfuckers before they kill us," Ace mutters before another onslaught approches. I shrug and grin, time to get rid of these guys.

Lucy's POV(Before Hunter shifts)

"I love you."

"I love you more."

"No, I do."

"No, I do."

I groan as I hear May and Luke go on and on about their 'love' for each other. I still havent met my mate. I head out of the family room and over to my room, opening my laptop and turning on the camera I put in the limo before Jordan and Xavier left. I move the lens so it scans over the back seat. No one. I switch to camera two at the front of the car and gape as I look at the smoking hot guy that stands in front of both Xavier and Jordan. Without a shirt. Jordan is soooo lucky. I watch as Xavier takes a protective stance in front of Jordan. Jealous much? Wait, WHAT!? SHE'S TOUCHING HIS ARM!? Look who's jealous now. I watch as the hot guy's face falls, almost in disappointment. Shit, I know something is going to happen. I should run there, I can make it there in a minute flat if I don't hold back, I know exactly where they are. I get up and shut off my laptop, pulling on my running shoes and changing into yoga pants and an athletic top. Who am I kidding, I'm not athletic, but I still am going to use this shirt. I slip on my running shoes that wouldn't ignite because of the friction and open the front door, racing to the limo.

Jordan's POV

"HEY! WAIT!" I hear a familiar voice call from the woods right behind me. Before I can turn around, Lucy is standing beside me, panting and resting her hands on her knees. Hunter freezes. It's like he just jumped into the Arctic, he's completely still. Lucy catches her breath and looks up, her eyes landing on Hunter's and not moving, like she's in a trance. Xavier looks between the two and realization dawns on his face, along with anger.

"Shit," he curses under his breath.

"Mate?" Lucy almost questions, doubting herself. Hunter blinks and his eyes lighten, the fur retracting from his skin as he nods.

"Mate," he grumbles lowly, advancing towards Lucy.

"No way! Not with my little sister! First my fucking mate and now my little fucking sister!" Xavier fumes as he steps up to attack HUnter.

"Xavier! Don't you dare!" Lucy hisses, speeding in front of Hunter and stopping Xavier dead in his tracks.

"How do you know you're really mates?" Xavier hisses his response to Hunter. He slowly lands his hand on Lucy's elbow and she jolts up straight, almost like she's being electricuted. Like how I feel when Xavier touches me.

"You found your mate!" I squeak as I jump to Lucy and pull her into a hug, causing Hunter to growl and Xavier to hiss.

"Reject him," Xavier demands in a monotone after pulling me away from Lucy's embrace.

"WHAT!?" Lucy yells, giving Xavier an 'are you out of your fudging mind' look.

"You heard me, reject him," Xavier repeats, in a just as dead tone.

"Why the hell would she do that? She found her mate," I emphasize. Turning around to face him with a hard glare.

"He's an enemy," Xavier deadpans.

"So if your family didn't like me and told you to reject me, would you do it?" I question harshly. His eyes flash to the crimson color that I've seen too man times.

"Never," he says through clenched teeth. He tenses as he shuts his eyes, most likely thinking of the situation. I pick up his hand and smooth it out as he evens his breathing. He opens his eyes and they're back to their natural blue-grey color.

"I'd never reject anyone," Lucy faintly mutters as Hunter hugs her and inhales her scent. Xavier grabs my hand and starts taking me through the woods. I stumble over some roots and eventually we make it to a large tree. He motions for me to sit and when I do, he sits next to me.

"One more day, Jordan," Xavier reminds me, breaking the thick cloud of silence that previously settled over us. I nod and lean my head onto his shoulder. I feel my eyes droop with exhaustion and feel sleepiness settle over me.

"Go to sleep," Xavier mumbles before I'm diving into a world without color.
