Harry rubs his eyes and picks up his glasses from the drawer next to his bed.
It's not the firs time that Harry wakes up around 5 o'clock, and it won't be the last time.
Nightmares about lost ones taunt him and he can't shake off the feeling that he could've done more for them. For Sirius, for Tonks.
Although he defeated Voldemort a few months ago, the dark wizard isn't out of his head. He never will be, probably.

On the other hand, there is something positive about waking up so early.
Harry is a morning person, his head is always clear in morning, because the day didn't give him more problems, yet.
He has plenty of time to think on this mornings, and so it doesn't take long before his mind wanders of to case Malfoy.

The house-elf was a good idea, if he may say so himself. He doesn't know the elf, but he knows that house-elves are forced to listen to their masters, although it worries him a bit that that rule can be bent a bit. He can recall the night that Dobby came to him against the orders of his master clearly.
What stops this elf from doing the same? Didn't Malfoy say it was his father's favorite elf? What if the elf tells Malfoy sr that his son is plotting against him with Harry Potter in their own private room in Hogwarts?

Speaking about that room, why do the Malfoy's even have a room?
No other family has one, harry thinks, but he isn't quite sure.
He does understand why they aren't meeting in RoR tough. That was intentionally Harry's first question, but he figured he already knew the answer; too many bad memories.
Besides, they don't even know if the room still exist.

Harry makes a mental note to ask Malfoy about the secret room the next time he sees him.
If there is going to be a next time, they didn't set a date for a next time, but he does have to know what the elf is going to say.

Harry finds himself far less shocked than he thought he would be over the fact that Malfoy is being civil to him.
In the time that the met up, he hasn't  made one snarky remark yet.
Not that Harry minds, not at all. But he doesn't like this... Formality either.
He wonders why Malfoy is being so civil to him.
Is it because Malfoy really wants Voldemort to be gone? That must be it, because it's certainly not because Malfoy wants to steal Harry's fame, like Ron thought. If that would be the case, he wouldn't have insisted on keeping it a secret.
No, why Malfoy helps him is a mystery to Harry.

Dean is the first to wake up, like always.
He is, like Harry, a morning person. Although Dean is much more cheerful than Harry, Harry likes to sit alone in silence, which makes his friends think he isn't much of a morning person.

Harry watches as Dean sneaks up to the other boys and scares them, would've been funny, if Neville wasn't his first victim.
Every boy wakes up from nevilles scream when Dean throws a handful of water all over his face.

While the other boys yell insults and complains at Dean and Neville, Harry tries to stifle his laughter at the sight.
