Drarry; the last horcrux

Chapter 24

Harry tries to approach Draco in the next few days, but the Slytherin keeps avoiding him. Draco doesn't go to the library anymore without Pansy or Blaise to accompany him, and he makes sure to not walk alone through the halls.
Harry is getting rather annoyed with him, and often wonders why Draco is avoiding him. Was it something he said?

But Harry knows the ferret can't keep this up long, he eventually has to speak to Harry if he finds something about the curse.
Unless he decided to quit helping Harry.
Realization strikes him like a lightning bolt. What if the blonde decided to abandon him?
Harry is sure he can't do this without Draco's help.
Hermione is just as smart as Draco, but Draco does know more about Dark Arts, and gets easier access to forbidden books.

Draco's friends started to notice something is up. Draco's slightly cheerful mood made place for a more grumpier one than before.
His skin is paler than before, and even glamour can't cover up the bags under his eyes.

Draco hasn't slept okay since he rescued Harry from the a Fiendfyre. It was then that he realized he has feelings for the Gryffindork, and he spend the nights thinking about it.
Draco knows he's wasting time, but like his mother always said; you can't help with whom you fall in love.
She said that once, when Draco was confused about his uncles relationship with another man. He was six, and didn't ever suspect he was going to be just like his uncle.
Or rather, have the same sexuality, he'd wish he was just like his uncle. His uncle was a bright person who stood positive in life, and he refused to have anything to do with Dark Arts. The black sheep of the family, the portraits told him when he had walked through the halls of the manor. It was his fathers brother, and although his father had to keep up appearances, Draco could tell he was slightly proud of his brother, and happy that his brother didn't have to suffer the same things as his family did.

Draco smiles a bit while thinking about it, and wonders where his uncle is now, he wonders how he thinks about his family now, if he still loathes his brother for getting interfered with the Dark Lord. Draco hopes not.

Draco groans inwardly when he sees Potter walking up to him, Blaise and Pansy.
He had tried to avoid the raven-haired boy as long as possible, not wanting to accidentally reveal his feelings, but it seems Potter is done with it.

'Draco.' Potter says angrily and stands in front of him, blocking the way.
Draco doesn't have to look at Pansy and Blaise to know their expressions.

'Potter. What do you want?' Draco tries to say calmly.

'I want to know why you are avoiding me, you have some unfinished business to do, you can't back out now.' Potter rants and Draco feels a heat rising to his cheeks.

'That sounds wrong.' Draco manages to say and Potter rolls his eyes.

'Whatever, you know what I mean. Meet me in the library after classes.' Potter says and walks away, getting stared after by the three Slytherins.
