'Yes, the liberary' Hermione says iritated.
'But I couldn't quite concentrate on my homework, so I began thinking about how we can find the horcrux, and I think we should start with who the horcrux had in the first place.'
'How are we supposed to figure that out?!'Ron exclaims.
'It's quite simple Ronald, most of the death-eaters are in Azkaban.'
'Malfoy and Yaxley are the only ones not in Azkaban.'Harry states absently, thinking about the options they had.
After 3 weeks at Hogwarts this was the first tiny bit of progress they made. Sure, Harry had been thinking about it at night, but he was always thinking about were it could be or what it could be.
'Do you think Malfoy has something to do with it?' Ron half-whispers, like he expects Malfoy to be around the corner.
'Ronald! why would he first save the word to ruin it afterwards?'Hermione says aproachfully.
'Didn't expect you to defend Malfoy, 'Mione, he always called you that filthy name.' Ron says, not daring to say the word mudblood, knowing what it always does to Hermione.
'I'm certain Malfoy sr. has something to do with it, I'm not sure about the others though. But the rumors could be true, what if Malfoy just threw me my wand to save his own skin, and help Voldemort to rule the world later? Nobody would suspect him.' Harry says to change the subject.
A few minutes of silence follow, in which Hermione seems to be deep in her thoughts.
'Maybe...' She says slowly 'maybe you haveto go talk to him.
Harry chokes on the cookie he was just eating. TALKING to Malfoy? No fucking way.
Although the git hadn't insulted him in three weeks, he was sure Malfoy hadn't changed, Malfoy was insulting him on the first day of school, that says enough, doesn't it?
'anapneo' Hermione says and she points at his throath.
'thanks' harry mutters.
'But why would Malfoy talk to me? He hates me!'
'I'm certain he does, but I'm a muggleborn and the Weasleys and the Malfoys have a lifelong conflict, so you're our best chance.' Hermione explains calmly and Harry groans, it seems like he doesn't have a choice.
