The first thing Draco thinks of when he wakes up, is his potions essay, than Harry, than his potions essay again, Harry again, potions essay, Harry, etc.
Draco has I slight moment of panic when he recalls falling asleep on the couch last night, and not finishing his essay. Pansy and Blaise must've put him in his bed, not wanting to wake him up.
Draco dresses as quickly as possible, wondering if he still has enough time to finish his essay and avoid a furious Snape.

'Draco, don't worry, I wrote your essay.' Pansy says smiling and she charms her handwriting into Draco's

'Thanks Pans.' He says relieved and Pansy hands over the essay to him.
Pansy isn't the best at potions, but he couldn't care less about his grades right now. Although, he would like to graduate.

Now, the only thing left on his mind is Harry, and e slightly wonders if it had all been a dream. But the fact that he indeed fell asleep on the couch last night, pretty much proves it wasn't.

Now that he's already ready for breakfast, he can't make up an excuse for going to the great hall late. He is forced by Blaise and Pansy to walk with them to breakfast. At the normal time. Heck, it is even before the normal time!

Draco sighs annoyed, but walks out of the dungeons anyway.
It doesn't take long before he gets the stares again. You should think people would be over it after a whole summer and a month, but apparently they aren't.
Every time a girl shoots a flirtatious look at Draco, Pansy has to muffle her laughter in Draco's robes and even Blaise had to suppress a grin. Draco doesn't find it funny at all, he just rolls his eyes and ignores it.

When they reach the great hall, Draco immediately searches for Potter. It doesn't take long to find him, since he sits on his usual spot and is not easy to overlook with his unruly hair and his opus glasses, which Draco secretly finds kinda adorable.

He makes his way to the Slytherin table and eagerly waits for an owl from Harry, he had expected that he would send one today, since he didn't send one yesterday.

Frustrated when the post only drops a letter from his parents, he writes a quick note under the table when his friends don't look and he gives it to his second owl. Not his favorite owl, the big eagle-owl would attract far to much attention.

Harry looks up from his plate when a late owl drops a small note in his lap.
Before he can read it, Ginny grabs it and reads it out loud:

Thought you would've owled by now, regretting it?

Ginny gasp theatrically.
'Harry James Potter, you waited two days with owling the person your head-over-heels about?' She asks, faking a shocked expression.

'Ginny shut the fuck up.' Harry hisses and tries hard to not glance at Draco.
Luckily, the only ones who heard Ginny's theatric act, we're the eight years, who already knew about his secret.

'Owl him back! Now!' Ginny demands.

'I will.' Harry says and smirks when he sees Ginny's hopeful expression.
'In private.'
