Harry spends most of his time without Draco in the common room, playing chess with Ron, talking about quidditch with his friends, studying with Hermione, just like the old times. What isn't like the old times, is the urgent whispers from Hermione when nobody is around, whispers that tell him they have to do something about the horcrux. Desperate calls for some information, that Hermione thinks he might have.
Because Hermione is anything but daft, or stupid. She knows Harry knows more than he tells her, but she doesn't know wether to be angry about that or curious, maybe both.
Harry never hides something for them, this must be important.
So, when she sees Harry a few days later alone in the common room, she demands answers.'Hey.' She says and Harry looks up from his work. She sits down next to him on the large, red couch and looks sharply at Harry until he closes his book, sighing.
'What is it?' He asks and runs a hand through his already messy hair.
'Don't act dumb Harry, the horcrux. I know there is something you don't tell me. Something important.' Hermione says and narrows her eyes to study his reaction.
He pales slightly and his hands are suddenly very interesting.'N-no I have no idea what you're talking about.' He says with a slight stutter and Hermione rolls her eyes.
'Sure you don't. Now cut the act, you suck at lying.'
Harry looks nervously around the room, like he's searching for a way to escape. But Hermione's eyes are constantly fixed on him, making sure he doesn't make up some random excuse and runs away.
Because she knows her friend, and making up bad excuses to leave situations he doesn't want to be in is his thing.'Okay... I might have found something.. Yeah.' Harry says nervously, still not looking at Hermione.
'And when were you going to tell us? Why didn't you tell us in the first place?'
'It's complicated Hermione. I'm working on it, I'll tell you in two week okay?' Harry looks hopefully at her and Hermione sighs.
It isn't like her to let this to so easily, but she guesses it can't hurt to wait two weeks more, if that makes Harry more comfortable.'Alright, but no longer than 2 weeks.'

Draco spends his time when he isn't with Harry in his common room to, although his is a lot more quiet.
Only having to share it with his two best friends does have a lot of benefits.
But Pansy also starts to realize there is something Draco doesn't tell her. He is often reading books he hides when Pansy tries to see the cover. He locks his cupboard since a few days, he doesn't talk with her anymore after classes, he just walks straight to his room and locks himself in there for Merlin-knows-what.
She realizes that isn't normal behavior, and that she'll have to talk to him if she wants to change it.
So when she catches Draco in the common room for once, without Blaise, she sits down next to him and grabs his book.'Dark arts from the 12th century?' Pansy reads and her eyes widen, Draco isn't going back to the dark arts, is he? She stars at Draco, her mouth slightly open from the shock. Does Draco wish to be a death-eater again? Or maybe a dark wizard on his own?
'Shut your mouth Pansy, it isn't what it looks like.' Draco snaps and grabs the book out of her hands.
'Oh? What is it than? You're reading stories about unicorns in a dark arts cover?' Pansy says and fold her arms.
'No. I don't like unicorns. It is a dark arts book, but I don't read it to use them, I'm searching a counterspell for one.'
'Where did you even get that book? Father said they only have those books in the ministry. They be- '
Pansy cuts herself of and her eyes widen in realization before she sprints to her room.
Draco already knows what she's going to get. Pansy isn't the smartest girl on this planet, but she certainly isn't daft. Only a cow wouldn't be able to make that link.Pansy comes out of her room a few minutes later with the daily prophet in her hand. She slams the paper on the table in front of Draco and sits down.
'That was you huh? You broke into the ministry with some other bloke.' Pansy accuses and Draco pales slightly.
'Perhaps.' He says and looks at the article. He doesn't read the prophet anymore, so he hadn't seen the article before.
The ministry found out they stole the books, and they suspect there is going to be a second Dark Lord. But they don't want anyone to panic, nothing is for sure yet.
Draco snorts and lays the paper back at the table.
That's one way to make the world freak out.
They would have to speak to Kingsley soon.
