It's a few minutes later when Harry walks in the common room with a pile of books, forgetting the lie he told his friends.

'I thought you were going to pick up your quill?' Hermione is the first to speak up.

Harry sheepishly looks at her, not knowing what to tell her.
The truth! A little voice in the back of his head screams at him, but thats not possible.
'Well... I passed the library and remembered I still had some homework to do.' It's a weak lie. Very weak. Especially since it's Thursday, and they don't have any homework due tomorrow, except the divinations project they made a week ago.

The look on Hermione's face says enough; she doesn't believe a word of what he's saying.
Harry is glad she keeps her mouth shut tough, she probably knows that it has something to do with the horcrux.

Harry quickly makes his way over to an empty table, and starts to look what books Malfoy gave him.
The books even include two restricted section books, Harry sees and he wonders how Malfoy managed to get those books.
Dark Objects and Their Functions
Deadly Curses by Dark Wizards.
Not books you would want a student to have.
Harry decides to start with the first book on the pile: Dark Objects and Their Functions.
The book is, according to the cover, really old and barely readable, but somehow it seems more likely that the spell is in an extremely old book than in a new one.
When Harry flips trough the pages, he notices a few pages are burned away. Possibly Horcruxes.
There is nothing in the book that says something about an objects that cuts, let's bones disappear and let explosions happen.

Same goes for the second book, and the third, and the fourth.
That's when Hermione and Ron join him, demanding an explanation.

'So what really happened Harry?' Hermione asks.

Harry hesitates for a moment, remembering Hermione's S.H.I.T. She definitely will not approve of this.
'Don't get mad ,okay?' Harry asks carefully.

'I can't promise anything mate, just tell us.' Ron puts in impatiently.

Harry sighs and begins to tell his friend everything. Well, not everything, he still doesn't mention Malfoy, but makes up lies about how he got the information.
Hermione listens to the story with a shocked expression on her face, and she lets out a shriek when Harry tells them about Vonkey's lost arm. Even Ron looks taken aback.

'You hid this or us?!' Ron exclaims when he recovers from his state of shock.

'Not even a day, and I knew Hermione would stop me when I told her, but I was a bit desperate.' Harry explains and scratches his neck anxiously, waiting for Hermione's reaction.

I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU!' She suddenly screams and gets up from her chair.
'I THOUGHT THAT AFTER YOUR FRIENDSHIP WITH DOBBY, YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND THAT HOUSE-ELVES ARE NO DIFFERENT FROM US! WOULD YOU RISK A HUMAN LIFE LIKE THAT? WOULD YOU?' Hermione rages and turn around to storm into her dorm, but not before she grabbed a few books from the pile.
