Clarkes POV
-
-
Clarke felt heart broken. She felt weak and useless. She felt exactly how she did a couple years ago when she had lost her father. Or a year ago when Finn had cheated on her. She felt like bursting into tears. But that was stupid. She was depressed about some girl who she barely knew. One of the reasons why she should've seen this coming.
Clarke walked down the halls pushing through students who frowned annoyed at her.
"Hey watch it!" One snapped.
But Clarke ignored them.
"Clarke!"
Clarke heard a familiar voice and she clenched her jaw hoping it was a trick of the mist. The blonde glanced over her shoulder to see the brunette struggling to reach her but the students made it difficult. Clarke took this chance and she turned back around shoving more eagerly through the crowd.
"Clarke wait!"
But Clarke had turned the corner and ran until she was as far as she could be from Ms. Woods.
The blonde was too distracted trying to stay as far away from Lexa as possible.
"Woah easy there tiger!" Clarke had bumped into Octavia who had a cheesy smile playing across her lips. "Whats the rush?"
"I..." Clarke swallowed hard trying to remember exactly what had happened. Should she tell her best friend the truth, yes. She decided she would. If she couldn't trust Octavia then she couldn't trust anyone.
"Ms. Woods--"
"Is very very hot."
Clarke stared curiously at Octavia. It was obvious that she wasn't the one who had spoken. Turning around slowly, she saw him.
Finn Collins.
"What the hell do you want?" Octavia demanded in defense of her friend.
Clarke forced her smile to stay hidden. She admired the fact that Octavia was willing to jump on anyone's ass without hesitation, to defend Clarke.
"Relax. I'm here to speak to Clarke." Finn grumbled with that same smirk on his face as always.
Octavia rolled her eyes and stood protectivly next to Clarke. "And what makes you think that you can after what you did--"
"O, it's okay. I--" her eyes landed on Ms. Woods who was making her way over to the small group. Clarke panicked. No way she was talking to her. Here goes nothing... hesitating, Clarke walked closer to Finn and pulled him close connecting their lips. She had forgotten what his lips have tasted like but now everything came rushing back. Every moment had come floating back. She remembered why she had loved him. why they had begun dating in the first place.
They were best friends. Finn apparently had loved her more than a friend. They'd flirt but Clarke would think nothing more of it. It was only a few days before they actually dated that she realized she had deeper feelings for the boy. When he had defended her against Bellamy, Octavias older brother, who was teasing her in a creul way. Clarke and Bellamy are now friends but their friendship took a while to develop.
Finn had no idea what she was kissing him for, but he kissed back and set his hands on her waist. She wrapped her arms around his neck, playing with brown hair in her hands.
Clarke didn't even have to see it, but she knew Octavia was extremely shocked.
She noticed the high heel footsteps have stopped and she figured Ms. Woods was watching just as shocked as Octavia. Possibly even more shocked.
Suddenly, she heard the footsteps begin to head down the hall until they were out of hearing distance. Thats when Clarke pulled away slowly but something was telling her not too. Their foreheads touched and Finn stared deep into her eyes.
"Clarke, why... I, do you want to get back together? Thats actually what I wanted to talk to you about..." Finn said in a low voice.
"Okay okay you two can kiss later. Don't create a traffic jam!" She heard a teacher shout.
She had completely forgotten they were in the middle of the hall. She watched annoyed students struggle to get past them.
Finn and Clarke moved to the side as the bell rang.
"Ill think about it." Clarke answered. Finn smiled. "See you at lunch Princess." with that, he turned and walked down the hall meeting up with Monty and Jasper asbthey turned the corner and out of sight.
"What... the hell was that!"
Clarke got yanked out of her thoughts and turned to see Octavia with a wide grin and wide eyes.
"Did you do that because of Ms. Woods?" Octavia raised an eyebrow.
"What?"
"I saw her. She looked... crushed. Did something happen between you?" Octavia walked closer speaking in a quieter tone.
Clarke suddenly bursted out laughing. "What?" she exclaimed in a high pitched voice. "Of course not!"
"Clarke we've been over this." Octavia sighed.
"Over what?"
"I can tell when you're lying remember? We've been best friends for as long as I can remember. I know you."
Clarke sighed. Why keep it hidden up inside...?
"Ms. Woods and I... hid in the janitors closet during the lock down. And we... we kissed." Clarke mumbled.
"You kissed?" Octavia exclaimed far too loudly.
"Shh!" Clarke hissed. "Keep it down! But yes. We--"
"Oh no, did you accidentally fall on her again?"
"What? No! It was a real kiss. It had passion, it was soft, Somewhat aggressive at times, it was magical, Octavia." Clarke pictured it all over again. She brought a hand up to her mouth, softly touching her fingers to her lips. She felt as if she could taste Ms. Woods' lips again. Her soft strawberry tasting vanilla lips.
"Clarke, Clarke, hello?!" Octavia was snapping her fingers in front of her face which drew Clarke back. "Where'd you go? I lost you for a moment."
"Sorry," The blonde avoided eye contact. "I was just thinking."
"Clarke, do you rmemeber why we call her Ms. Woods?" Octavia seemed to be using Clarke's own words against her. she had a smirk plastered across her face as Clarke couldn't help herself and it just came out.
"Mockery isn't the product of a strong mind, Octavia."
With that, she turned on her heels heading to Ms. Woods class for history. Octavia then followed and grumbled. "You even sound like her."
Clarke couldn't help but agree more.
