Lexas POV

After a brief talking about the past, she had gotten her class to get into partner as and discuss, and also do the questions that were written on the board that was located in the text book. She had calmed her class down from earlier and now they were working peacefully. Then there was a knock on her door and someone walked in to reveal themselves.
Principal Jaha.
"Hello sir." She rose from her seat as the man examined the class with a smile on his face. "Not bad for your first day. The kids always take advantage of the teacher. Why do you think we were recruiting staff?" He chuckled.
She didnt find that funny at all. She found it rather insulting. Was that the reason why they had hired her? Not because she was right for the job? She shook those bitter thoughts out of her head.
"This is for you." the man held a to-go cup from Starbucks, she assumed because of the logo.
"Thank you."
He set it down on her desk and she eyed him suspiciously. He must've noticed because he let out a small chuckle. "The staff and I do this as a welcoming gift for the new teachers Lexa." He clarified.
Realization drew upon her face and she gave him a nod.
"Well I suppose I'll allow you to get back to your duties." The man exhaled giving her a warm, yet rather creepy smile. She frowned and he walked out without another word.
Hesitantly, Lexa opened the lid of her coffee cup and the warm steam approached her face.
She slipped the lid back on and took a small sip. It was still boiling hot so she decided to let it cool by taking the lid off to release the steam. The teacher opened her laptop that was sitting on her desk. It was provided for the teachers to use and to borrow. The brunette let out a sigh. Her green eyes peered up to the quiet behaved class and everyone seemed to be doing their work. Then she turned back to her laptop and began to type an email addressing all the teachers. She had received a contact list with their phone numbers and their emails in case she had to reach them.
Hello. I'm the new history teacher, Alexandria Woods.
She typed mouthing the words as she did so. She should've paid more attention to her surroundings.
She should've thought before she had left her coffee open, near the edge of her desk, right in front of her, next to her laptop. Because before she knew it, the coffee went flying and spilled all over her arms, her bare legs, her clothing, and her laptop. It was still boiling hot so she jumped to her feet, her knees hitting her desk in the progress.
Her skin felt as if it were burning from the heat.
"SHIT!" She shrieked out in pain. She grabbed at her clothing that was now partly drenched with black coffee and now she smelt like it herself.
Her white blouse would probably have a huge brown stain on the front by the time she got home, unless she washed it out right away. Her skirt would most likely be fine since it was black as well. But she still wasn't okay with what had happened.
She had nearly forgotten that she had a classroom full of students who had all nearly jumped out of thekr seats because of Lexas disturbance. but she didnt care. She was wondering what had caused her coffee to spill in the firstplace. Because she knew for a fact that she hadn't accidentally done it herself. She was furious. This wouldn't have happened itself.
Suddenly her eyes landed on a girl who was standing right next to her desk looking at Lexa with fear possibly, mixed with amusement, along with an apologetic smirk.
That girl was Clarke.
Of course. Who else would it have been. Who else would've risen from their desk to speak to the teacher. As far as she knew, they all seemed frightened by her so she doubt any other student would actually ask her for help, even if they truly needed it.
A glare settled on her face. She took deep breaths trying to mantain the anger that was eating her up inside.
"Oops." the blonde said innocently. She spoke in a soft tone as if acting like it was an accident. Lexa thought she probably did that just to get her attention since Lexa had refused to talk to her earlier at the beginning of class.
"Oops?" Lexa growled through her gritted teeth.
