clarke's pov
~
~
"hey there teachers pet."
"don't call me that."
"what's wrong there griffin? can't handle the truth that you're ms. woods little toy?" murphy taunted, rolling his eyes in the sarcastic way he always does. he let out a belly full laugh, before returning to his strong stand.
"clarke whats going on here?" abby asked cautiously, studying the boy who kept his eyes glued on clarke.
"nothing mom... it's fine... just ignore him. i always do." clarke tried to casually answer, yet she still glared daggers at murphy.
"oh ouch." he laughed sarcastically. "why don't you tell her clarke? tell her about your time here at school. tell her about your time with ms woods." murphy suggested, flashing a fake smile towards clarke's mother. thankfully, kane came to the rescue before anything much else was exposed. a little late, but still on good time. kane now stood behind the blonde and stared at murphy impatiently, huffing.
clarke could feel her heart giving up, it pounded so hard it sounded like war drums. her throat felt instantly dry and her mouth craved water urgently. all she could do was stare at the teenaged boy who seemed to purposely be trying to get her in trouble with her mom.
or more so, get lexa in trouble if anyone ever found out...
"john, lets go." kane urged, not wanting to waste another second.
"enjoy your handful." murphy mumbled rolling his eyes. he walked forward and shoved past clarke practically completely body checking her. clarke grunted due to the aggressive impact but her feet remained in place. she took a few deep breaths to calm her nerves. she still had yet to meet with the woman who she felt nothing but attraction to.
clarke walked down the hall without another word, and she heard abby jogging after her to catch up. she saw lexa's classroom down at the end of the hall and clarke didn't stop until she got there. all she heard from behind her was her mother calling her name trying to get her to stop walking. as soon as they reached the class, clarke felt a strong grip wrap around her bicep and she was stopped from entering.
"clarke would you slow down for a second?!" abby panted, releasing her daughter. "what was that back there? what was... john talking about?" she demanded. clarke looked anywhere but abbys eyes since she didn't even know how to put it into words. finally, she opened her mouth to speak but not a single sound came out. she then watched a wave of horror flash over abbys facial features and she now wondered why.
"oh my goodness..." abbys hands flew over her mouth and she gave clarke an apologetic look. "clarke are you being bullied? is he bullying you?"
"what? mom, no he's like that with everyone-"
"i'm so sorry! clarke why didn't you tell me you were getting bullied? i-i would've done something about it! i wouldve talked to his mother, or-"
"murphy's mother passed away."
"then his father! i... clarke! why didn't you tell me you were getting bullied... i feel like i've failed as a mother since i couldn't protect you from this!" abby exclaimed. a feeling of guilt washed throughout clarke's body and she pursed her lips. she didn't get a chance to respond however because their conversation was cut short.
