Clarke's POV
-

"Hey so how was your date with Bellamy a few days ago?" Octavia asked, typing on her laptop - working on the assignment Lexa had written on the board. Clarke tapped her pen against her notebook and let out a sigh."It was alright." Clarke responded with a shrug.
"Oo that bad huh?" Octavia asked with a frown settling on her face. Clarke simply raised an eyebrow and pursed her lips. "I just told you it went well." The blonde slowly stated.
Her friend rolled her eyes, obviously unconvinced. "Are we seriously going to argue about this again? I told you Princess. I know you."
"Well, I--"
"Bellamy's side of the story was far different from yours. It went something like this. I asked him, "How'd your date go?" And he said, "Oh it was fantastic! Clarke and I shared several moments together. She laughed, she smiled, it was the best thing ever. And get this Octavia, I think she really likes me!"
Octavia spoke in a deep voice, as if trying to mimick Bellamy's voice.
"He said that?" Clarke asked softly and studied her best friends' green eyes.
"Yeah," Octavia responded. Tilting her head, she nibbled on her bottom lip. "Clearly you don't feel the same way," Octavia was stating the obvious with curiosity in her tone."Look. I've said this before, and I'll say it again. Bellamy and I will be friends and nothing more. Besides. I have an eye for someone else." It was true. She loved Bellamy. She did. But she loved him like family. Like a best friend. Nothing more. "He's like the big brother I never had." She concluded, causing Octavia to cringe.
"Ew, Clarke, you went on a date with your fake brother?" Octavia teased.
Clarke grinned. "Shut up." She pushed Octavia's shoulder playfully and heard someone clear their voice behind them. Octavias eyes trailed upward and behind the blonde as Clarke slowly turned around to see who was behind her. "I thought you reserved dates only for the miss's."
Of course. It was John Murphy with his trusty sidekick Finn Collins."Why don't you shove your dick up your ass Murphy." Octavia jumped to Clarke's defense without hesitation. Another reason why she loved Octavia. She was willing to defend Clarke against all costs, no matter the situation. Clarke would definitely jump anyones' ass who spoke that way to Octavia as well.
"Because that's reserved for your brother Octavia."
Clarke couldn't believe her ears. Did Murphy actually just say that? She exchanged glances with her friend and Finn as well. "Murphy are you gay?" Finn hesitated.
"What, I-I no!" John exclaimed with wide fearful eyes as Octavia yanked out her phone.
"I'm telling Bellamy." She grinned - jumping out of her seat dialing a number which Clarke assumed was Bellamy's.
"Octavia I swear to God." Murphy warned, actually not sounding so threatening at all.
He struggled to reach for the phone but Octavia dodged and dashed around the class with Murphy chasing her to get the phone. TheY were disrupting the class but obviously they didn't care.
"Octavia!" He boomed with rage and panic.
Clarke searched the class. Where was Ms. Woods. She wasn't anywhere in Clarke's vision. She then heard the sound of footsteps walking over and entering the class. Suddenly, the door slammed shut.
Octavia stopped running and hung up the phone, Murphy froze in his tracks and stared daggers at Octavia, Finn took his seat, and Clarke flinched at the sound of the door.
Lexa had entered and she was angry. "I leave for one moment and all of you turn into wild gorillas." The teacher growled furiously, holding a stack of textbooks in her hands. "Take your seats!! NOW!" She boomed loudly, startling every single student present.

Finally Clarke made it to the end of the day and she headed towards Lexas classroom to retrieve that paper that caused difficulties between the two. Standing outside the door, she knocked with a deep and hesitant sigh."Enter," Hearing the faint word come from inside, she set a hand on the doorknob and turned it fully, walking into the silent class. She peered around curiously.
Lexa was busy scribbling down some notes down on a piece of paper and Clarke shut the door behind her."Whacha doin'?" Clarke piped up, to start a conversation.
"Spare us both Clarke, there is no need to fill the silence." Lexa responded. The brunette didnt even look up from her papers. It seemed she was far to busy to have even remembered Clarke was in the room.
"Just... trying to make conversation I guess." She cursed herself under her breath for acting so stupid. Lexa had just said that there was no need and there goes Clarke, doing the exact opposite."If you must know, I'm planning ahead for my next lesson." She spoke in an emotionless tone and motioned with her head towards a paper thst was sitting at the corner of Lexas desk. "Theres your transfer sheet. Signed and everything." Clarke noticed Lexa swallow hard and clench her jaw. She looked extremely tense, as if the situation was far too uncomfortable for her.
"Lexa, I..." Clarke reached out, briefly touching Lexas arms with her fingertips only to have Lexa rush to her feet pushing back her chair and rushing to the board. Grabbing the big eraser, she began to erase the Blackboard roughly probably to keep herself occupied from looking at Clarke. But Clarke wouldn't give up so easily.
Stepping up to the brunette again, she stood so close, she could hear Lexas small panting from all the scrubbing she was doing.
"I think that we should maybe..." She touched Lexas wrist gently, her eyes never leaving Lexas face so she could see if she could catch any emotion in that perfect face.
Lexa scurried back away from Clarke, setting down the eraser and began to organize her desk.
How is it that Lexa could find so many things to do!!
Clarke released a sigh. "Thank you." She mumbled, scooping up the transfer sheet into her hands along with a textbook she didn't even realize she grabbed."Clarke wait." Lexa called after her. The blonde turned around, waiting for Lexa to continue. Her teacher walked over and grabbed the textbook from her arms. "This is mine." She mumbled under her breath.
"So is my heart." Clarke said quickly and ran out of the class. But not before she caught a good glimpse of Lexas expression which was filled with shock and confusion - which made Clarke smile with amusement.
