one of my faves...🥺)six blissful months.
you may be asking how we got here, but it's quite simple. it's the story of an 18 year old girl who fell in love with her 22 year old history teacher. at this point they hung out almost every day. and surprisingly, abby was okay with it. she had gotten into her own relationship at this point which was hard on the both of them. marcus was the assistant principal at her school, clarke was still not used to losing her dad almost 2 years ago, abby was still adjusting, no one said it would be easy! but they have each other and they're making it work.
at this point, everyone was happy. lincoln gave octavia a promise ring which of course octavia immediately called clarke to gush about how incredible her boyfriend was. they wanted forever. while bellamy had finally admitted that him and murphy had become a thing. and clarke was all for it. as much of an ass murphy is, he was surprisingly such a good boyfriend to bellamy. but he deserved to be happy just as much as everyone else. clarke was so happy for him.
oh, not that it matters, but finn and raven actually got together after everything they've done but hey, clarke was happy with lexa so she could care less about them.
point is, everyone was happy and life was turning out perfect for them all.
well....
almost for everyone...

"hey babe, did you want rice with this?" lexa called from the kitchen, while she flipped the meat. clarke emerged into lexa's kitchen, ruffling a towel through her wet hair. she set the towel on the island chair and she walked around the counter, snaking her arms around lexas waist from behind.
"clarke, i'm cooking." lexa chuckled, glancing over her shoulder. clarke rose onto her tippytoes and rested her chin on lexas shoulder and she took in a huge whiff at their dinner.
"mm... smells delicious." she said dreamily, giving her a huge squeeze.
"you still haven't answered my question." lexa stated, pulling herself free of clarke's hold as she walked to the fridge.
"sure rice would be great."
"mmhm."
lexa grabbed out a couple of plates and she walked back to the stove, turning it off. lexa served the meals onto the plates and she carried it over to the kitchen table where clarke followed her.
"i love having a girlfriend who can cook." clarke joked, spinning dramatically and she took a seat.
"and i love having a girlfriend who enjoys the poison i put on her plate." lexa joked back as she served them both a glass of red wine.
"and i love having a humble girlfriend who pretends her cooking is shit, but it's actually beyond amazing." clarke argued, sticking her tongue out as if she won.
the brunette just smiled down at clarke and she rolled her eyes. "and i love you."
clarke grinned, grabbing her glass. "i love you too." she said softly. lexa leaned down and she pressed a kiss upon clarke's lips before taking a seat.
clarke had said i love you for the first time 3 months into officially dating and it was honestly incredible though for a moment, clarke thought lexa was going to break up with her. clarke had said it first, and lexas reaction was hilarious to be honest... she stared at clarke speechless and her eyes widened but it made clarke panic. it took lexa a couple extra months to actually say it.... but it was worth the wait. clarke just didn't say it again until lexa was ready. but now lexa couldn't get enough of saying it.
