Chapter 32

Gerard's P.O.V.

Everyone got back to eating and everything was normal, except everyone was now talking about baby stuff and tours and stuff, all except Brook's dad, who was staring at me. "Gerard, can I speak to you privately, please?" He finally spoke up. Oh fuck, I was actually afraid of this. "I just want to talk, you aren't in any trouble or anything." That was a relief that came out of her dad's mouth. 

"Yea, let's go into the house." I said, leading him from the backyard to the house. We sat down at the table and he began to speak. 

"First off, I'm happy to be having a grandbaby, but, I don't want her to be hurt. I don't want you to leave her after she has the baby." He said calmly. 

"Sir, I would never do that. I love Brook with all my heart, and having a baby with her is just another reason that makes me want to stay with her." I converse with him. 

"Okay, enough with the sir stuff, just call me dad." He said. I nodded. "But" He continued, "I am glad to hear that you want to stay, that's the best thing I've heard come out of a young mans mouth about my daughter, or anybody's daughter at all. I really like you, and I hope you and Brook last, I honestly hope you take this advantage that I'm giving you of marrying my daughter."

"I planned on marrying her, honestly. Don't tell her, but I'm already looking up engagement rings on the internet. As I said earlier, I love Brook and that baby with all my heart, and I'll fight as hard as I can to stay with her." I said to him. He stand up, and I do as well. 

"I'm glad to have her marrying a sweet young man like you, Gerard. She wears a size 5 by the way, I don't even know why I'm telling you that, since you've bought her a ring before, that I was pissed when her sister stole it and sold it. Just thought I would tell you that too, since I'm assuming you seen her not wearing it." Her dad told me.

"Thank you so much, I'll take great care of her, I promise, and it is great to know what happened to that ring, because I did notice, but that's okay, because I'm getting her a similar one." I reply back to him. He walks over to me, and I offer my hand for him to shake, but he brushes past my hand and hugs me, and I awkwardly hug back. 

"Thanks for taking care of my baby girl." He tells me, breaking up the hug. 

"No problem, dad." I say, smiling at the dad word, knowing that he actually accepts me. We walk out where everyone else is in the backyard.

"Its getting dark, I should be going soon, my wife will kill me if I get home too late." Frank says as I walk out. 

"Alright man, be safe." I say to him as he leaves. Soon after he leaves, everyone else slowly leaves and Brook and I go back inside and go to bed. 

~A few months later***~

Brook's P.O.V.

"Ms. Cherry and Mr. Way, your ultrasound results are in, you're having a little girl. Congratulations." The doctor told us, as we got the pictures of our baby girl and leaving with Lyn-z. 

"Guess who is planning your baby shower! Don't worry about anything, me and Mrs. Cherry are gonna handle it!" Lyn-z said, excited and texting who I assumed was my mother. 

We got in the taxi that Gee hailed for us and began back to the house. He rubbed my baby bump, and began to speak. "We need to think of a name for you, baby girl." He said, smiling. 

"I want it to be something someone wouldn't expect, something exotic, nothing really girly." I tell him. 

"Okay, we will think of something, but I do like your idea." He replies as we get out of the cab and went into the house, and Lyn-z went into her car and left, shouting at us to text her when we decide on a name. 

"Baby, I'm craving moose tracks ice cream again." I tell Gee, who was already in the kitchen. That's my pregnancy craving, moose tracks ice cream. 

"One step ahead of ya, babe." He said, giving me a bowl of ice cream. I kissed him and he sat down beside me on the couch. 

"Thank you baby." I tell him as he puts his hands on my baby bump, only to feel small kicking, giving me light pain in my stomach. 

"She kicked! Oh my god, she kicked my hand, I think that's the best thing I've ever felt!" He shouted, until he saw my holding my stomach in pain. 

"It may have felt good to you, but it hurt me! But that's okay, it just proves she loves you." I said, continuing to eat my food while cuddling with Gee until his brother and my brother come barging through the door. 

"So big brotha watcha havin'"? Mikey said in the most fucking annoying voice ever. 

"Say it in a proper tone and not sound like a fucking idiot and we'll answer you." He sassed. 

"Okay, sass queen. So big brother what are you having? Even tho you should've found out months ago, I mean, she is 6 months already." Mikey said properly. 

"We are having a little girl. And we wanted to wait a little bit to find out, and the first time we went to find out, they couldn't tell because she was moving around too much." I say. 

"So, anyways, dad wants to know about the baby shower." My brother says. 

"Ask Lindsey or mom. They are the ones hosting it." I say to him. 

"I know. I asked mom and she won't reveal anything." Wayne then said to me. I laughed.

"Then you'll find out when it happens and when the invitations go out. All I'm saying is that I'm having a girl." I said. 

"Okay you guys, wanna make 200 bucks and be out of everyone's hair for a bit while Brook and I go out? I'll have Frank pitch in as well. Paint the spare bedroom pink-" Gerard started.

"Purple, remember Gee we agreed nothing really girly? Well pink is too girly. It will be purple, because that isn't as girly, but still a girl color." I interrupted. 

"Purple it is. Boys, you and Frank will be painting the spare room purple. I just texted Frank to go get the paint, and that I'm paying you guys to do it while Brook and I go out tonight." Gee corrected himself. 

"I'm in." Wayne said, with Mikey nodding along with him, and Frank came over not long after. Just as Frank walked into the door, the phone rang, it was the doctors. 

"Hello?" Gerard answered it. He nodded before handing me the phone. "You're gonna be surprised by this, but I want them to tell you this surprise." 

"Hello?" I said into the phone. 

"Hello, Ms. Cherry, we looked over your last ultrasound a little closely after the small thing we noticed today, that we had thought was no big deal, that small thing we discussed with you and Mr. Way." The doctor said through the phone. 

"Okay, but what's the news?" I asked and looked over at Gee who was smiling widely. 

"You're having twins, two little girls. That's why the baby was thrashing so much the last time." They said. I was NOT expecting this, but I was smiling, I was so happy. 

"Okay, thank you for telling me this wonderful news, doctor."  I said before hanging up. 

"What's the big surprise?" Frank asked me.

"We're having twins!" Gerard said, just as Lindsey made an appearance. 

"Twins? Oh my gosh you guys I'm so happy for you! Now, lets get you ready for that date, young lady!" She said, leading me to Gee and I's room.
