(Jc's POV)
I had texted Selena during lunch, now I'm stuck in 7th period waiting for it to end. For some reason this class always dragged, and even more so today. I'm nervous though what do you expect? I'm not even dating this girl yet and I'm already meeting her parents. Didn't she say before she doesn't like to talk about her mom or something? Then again most teens with famous parents wouldn't want to get attacked over it.So then why am I meeting her? What if she's some drug lord celebrity that could have my nuts chopped off? Or my head? Get it together Caylen!
*Briiiiinnnnng*
Saved by the bell, I grinned to myself.
"Justin!" I heard a voice yell from behind me once I had walked out of the building.
I knew who it was right away though, only one person calls me Justin. "What are you doing here?" I nearly hissed.
"I need to talk to you." She whined, pulling at my hand. Ignoring her plea I ripped my hand away and starting walking towards my car. "Justin she's not who you think she is."
"Stay out of my business. You and I are over, you don't have a say in what I do." I scolded, climbing in and slamming the door behind me.
Ana had balls to do that, I give her that much.
The drive home seemed to take forever, school traffic always sucked. Then again it's ten times worse once 8th period gets out. Luckily for me, home wasn't too far away if I went through the back roads. Although most people think they're creepy, I like them. I do admit I refuse to drive on them at night, that's when it gets really bad.
Once I pulled into my driveway, I couldn't help but look over to Selena's house. It seemed so normal, until my eyes reached the limo parked out front. Weird much?
Just as I began to question it inside my head, my phone buzzed inside my pocket.
Ana (imessage)
A: Can I show you something?
A: Read this.
As soon as I opened the picture, I saw a very familiar face. Selena.
~(SELENA'S POV)~
Time passed and 8 rolled around. No Jc.
"Is he coming?" My mom asked once again.
"I guess not. He hasn't texted me back or anything.
"Honey it's already 10. Don't wait around any longer." She smiled softly, clutching at her robe. "Remember, school tomorrow, go get some sleep."
"I will, after I wash the dishes. You go to bed though, you're tired and dad's already passed out." I chuckled.
After a quick goodnight I was in front of the sink, washing plates and swaying my hips around to the beat of the music. "I'm not hurt." I whispered to nobody. Truth is I am. I guess I got my hopes up for nothing, then again I always do. Before long, the dishes were washed and put away, and I was on my way to bed. I found myself lost on instagram, cuddled up on my bed in shorts, an over sized shirt and my massive comforter. That is until my phone scared the shit out of me!
Jc (iMessage)
Jc: I'm sorry.
Me: for?
Jc: not showing up, or answering your calls.
Me: So you saw them?
Jc: tbh i saw every one, just ignored them on purpose.come outside.
Outside?
Low and behold, there he was, in my front yard, at 11.
"What are you doing here?" I sighed, closing the front door behind me.
"Aren't you freezing?" He cocked his head to the side slightly.
"Yeah freezing, now why are you here." I pressed again.
"I wanted to apologize in person. I should've came, I was just mad." He shrugged. Mad?
"Over?"
"This." Jc handed me his phone. On the screen was the article on my mom, and I was seated right next to her. Only the article held what the tv didn't show, questions, which I, nor did my parents answer. One imparticular asked where we would be moving to, and the answer showed California, and soon.
"Where'd you get this?" My jaw dropped. The article wasn't supposed to be out until tomorrow, and even then this one held lies.
"Just someone showed me. Why didn't you tell me your mom was Lola in the first place? You had me thinking she was some druggie."
"Wow, way to think low of me and my family." I scoffed, crossing my arms together.
"You made it seem like that." He shrugged. "Sorry."
"Well it's not true. My mom is Lola, happy?"
"No."
"Why not?"
"I didn't hear it from you before."
"So her being my mom magically makes me a different person?"
"I didn't say that." He scolded, fury escaping in his voice. "You didn't say you'd be moving either."
"You made it seem like that." I mocked. "Sorry."
"You and that stupid dimple." he sighed.
"Sorry. Look it's cold and I'm tired so bye." I turned away.
"Wait." He jumped, grabbing my arm.
"Let go." I hissed, ripping my arm away from his grasp before stepping inside and slamming the door behind me.
The nerve of this boy. And that stupid article, yes my mom is famous, but that doesn't effect me, much. Right...?
