Luckily for me I didn't have to spend much more time alone with this attractive jerk. Minutes of silence passed before my mom called us down to the dining area while she finished up dinner.

"So how are you liking California?" Diego directed to me.

"It's just peachy." I shrugged. Sure it was fine, but my heart lied in Texas.

"Are you planning on going to college soon or anything?"

What, are you trying to get in my head or something?

"If I do it probably won't be here, but I'm not entirely sure yet." I sighed. I really had no plans anymore.

"She was going to go to UTSA, but then we moved here." My dad piped in.

"So she can move back." Diego lightly pressed.

"I don't think she'd be comfortable living on her own." Dad countered.

"She isn't exactly a baby anymore Santiago." Diego chuckled.

"She isn't your daughter either." My dad was getting annoyed.

"She is sitting right here!" I let out before slightly slamming my hands on the table. "Besides, I want to move back."

"You do?" Everyone seemed to gasp.

"That's home." I sighed. "Of course I do. This whole Hollywood life isn't for me."

"So then it's settled. She's to go back." My mom, oddly, smiled.

"Really? You're just going to let me go like that?" I nearly choked.

"Sure why not. We can get you an apartment, or a house, pay all that junk. You can get a job if you'd like, go to school, do your own thing. You're an adult now." My mom beamed.

Shock was an understatement completely. They were just going to let me go!

"Daniel could accompany you." Diego added in.

"What?" We both exclaimed at once.

"Yeah why not, he's wanted to get away for a while, he has to come back by the summer anyway." Diego shrugged.

"You can both leave first thing in the morning." Mom smiled.

Was this really happening?

**

To my surprise, it really was happening. I was on a plane, across from a jerk I'd be living with for the next few months, on my way to San Antonio.

It felt weird going back, mostly because of Jc. I had just seen him, he had just broken up with me, and now here I am coming back. With Daniel. Luckily for me, he was going to handle the house situation while I would be picked up by Sam. Thank god for Sam!

The few hours in the air went by much more quickly than I expected, and before I knew it, I was waiting outside with my luggage.

"Sel!" Sam called from down the line of cars.

"Sam!" I grinned, walking over to his car.

"I missed you!" He seemed to squeal as he hugged me. I laughed and threw my bags into the backseat and climbed into the front. "You tell Jc you're here yet?"

"No. I don't plan on it either." I sighed.

"Why not?" The drive began, and so did the questions. Great.

"He told me he doesn't know what he wants, so why push it?"

"Point taken. He was just mad though, you should let him know."

"I'll think about it."

"You want to go out tonight?"

"Where?"

"We were thinking about going to Cowboys. It's teen night." He laughed.

"I'm down." I really just wanted an excuse to not be near Daniel, or Jc.

"I can drop you off at Andrea's after lunch, Kian and I will just pick y'all up later. A few friends are flying in today and they're coming with."

"Sounds like a plan." I smiled.

Being with Sam was always relaxing, even with all of the questions he asked. Somehow the car ride to his house went by quickly as we caught up a bit. I hadn't exactly spoken to him, or anyone else, since I had left.

"So where are you living?" He asked while we prepared sandwiches.

"No clue yet. Daniel's supposed to text me the address in a while." I shrugged.

"And who's Daniel?"

"Some douche I'll be sharing a house with until he goes back to California. My moms working with his dad, they thought it'd be a good idea."

"No romantic feelings or anything?"

"God no. He's a jerk. The entire plane ride he kept throwing pieces of wadded up napkin at me."

"Geeze Sel, sounds like a huge jerk." He laughed.

"Shut up! I just don't like him." I swatted my hand at Sam's chest, lightly hitting him.

"I think you're the one that's a jerk!" He gasped, clutching his chest over dramatically.

"Shut up and eat!" I laughed.

"I'm eating!" He said through a mouthful and sandwich and chips.

"You're gross." I couldn't help but laugh. Being back was definitely the best thing in the world right now, especially because of Sam.
