**Selena's POV**
"Jc are you okay?" The tall semi shaggy haired boy asked him.
"I. Um. Se-Selena?" Jc babbled.
"Hi Jc." I sighed. It was weird seeing him, and I hadn't anticipated him coming at all. No wonder Andrea made me dress all cute. It was like the dark blue v-neck shrunk 3 sizes and my shorts were about to bust off.
"Selena?" The same boy who had addressed Jc earlier spoke again. "Well hi I'm Ricky!" He smiled and shoved his hand in my direction. I shook it laughing. "This is Connor and Trevor." He pointed to the two other boys beside him.
Our hellos were said quickly as we all wanted to just be inside. The atmosphere inside definitely said country. Bars were lined all along one long wall. They of course would only be serving sodas, water, and on a good night, sweet tea. The crowd was relatively small, but it was still really early. Thankfully the music was great, the dj always played new hot music. A remix of Summertime Sadness was playing.
"So you're here? Like I'm not dreaming?" Jc came out of nowhere.
"Yeah, I moved back." I smiled awkwardly.
"Where?" He seemed shocked.
"Same house."
"But somebody else lives there? I said hi to him earlier?"
"Yeah, that's Daniel."
"You're living with him?" He seemed angry at this point, and I had absolutely no idea why.
"He's a friend of my mom's son. I wanted to come back, she said I could, he had to come." I shrugged.
"You're probably sleeping with him." I heard him mumble under his breath before he hastily turned away.
He was the one that had let me go and now he's acting like he's mad that I came back? I don't get it!
"You okay?" Sam came up behind me.
"I'm fine. Jc's just being stupid." I let out.
"You can't blame him." Sam surprisingly defended him.
"He was being a jerk yesterday and now I'm the bad guy? That doesn't make sense."
"He was being a jerk because the kid has issues. He loves you, and now you're living with another guy. Think about it Sel." He pat my shoulder before turning away.
Here I was, in the middle of a dance hall, letting Jc ruin my night.
Nope!
Not going to happen.
Or maybe it was going to happen. When I turned around to find Jc, I found him quickly. With a girl, in very little clothing, wrapped around his waist. Bounce back quickly much?
"You okay?" An unfamiliar voice startled me.
"Yeah I'm good. Connor, right?" I hoped I got it right.
"Yeah, Connor." He smiled. "Connor Franta."
"Selena, Selena Ramos." I laughed, shaking his hand.
"I've heard about you, a little bit." He semi-shrugged.
"Is that so?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Well yeah, Jc was always talking about you."
"Oh." I crossed my arms.
"Sorry, he's just an ass." He sighed. I assumed he had seen Jc and his new boo thing. "Don't let him ruin tonight for you."
"So dance with me?" I smirked.
"Dance with you?" He chuckled. "I'd be crazy not to."
My eyes were on Jc for the first few seconds Connor had me on the dance floor. I watched his facial expression change several times. My full attention turned to Connor during a quick turn. His hands found my lower back while my arms draped around his neck. Even though the music was fast paced and the position was fairly awkward, Connor was definitely taking my mind of off Jc. A few songs went by before we both decided to head off to the side.
"You're fun to dance with." He smiled.
"As are you Mr. Franta." I smiled back.
Just as a good conversation was about to begin, and angry Jc stomped over with his tramp in tow.
"So it's not enough that you're living with a random guy but now you're going after my best friend?" Jc yelled. His tramp jumped back, obviously startled.
"Jc man, stop. You're making a scene." Connor softly tried to calm him.
"I wasn't talking to you Franta. I thought you were my friend?" Jc spat.
"Justin stop." I pressed. I didn't want to start anything here.
"Don't tell me to stop. I knew better than to trust you. I'm glad I ended things between us, you're nothing but a slut." He shot back before grabbing the tramp and walking away.
"He didn't mean it." Connor placed his hand on my shoulder.
"No, it's okay. He meant it but it's okay." I shook my head and began to walk out.
My night was ruined, and my heart was broken.
