**Jc's POV**

Can time go anymore slowly? Here it is Friday afternoon, last class of the day, and I'm trapped. Not like we do anything in this class anyway. Most kids by now are passed out, saving energy for tonight's game. A game I wouldn't be attending of course. Currently the guys are in playoffs, and who are they playing? Brandeis, of course. I couldn't bare going, because of a girl of course.

This girl? Well she's a girl I can't stop thinking about. A girl I told to walk away. Why was I so stupid?

A long sigh escaped my lips as the bell rang. My hands ached to find my keys and drive home. I wanted nothing more than to just lay in be and sulk, like I did everyday for the passed few weeks. Ana ended up dumping me because of it, but in all honesty, I couldn't care less about her or a relationship with anyone for that matter. Well, with one exception. An exception that lived hundreds of miles away now.

Just then, I did the one thing I said I wouldn't. I picked up my phone, and scrolled down to her name. Without a second thought I hit the FaceTime button, and waited.

And waited...

Until her face popped up, obviously in a crowded place.

"Yeah?" She asked, confused as ever. "Oh it's you." She scowled.

"I'm sorry are you busy?" I shrugged, giving her a small grin.

"No." She nearly hissed. The expression on her face changed quickly from filled with anger to curiosity. "What's up?" She finally smiled.

"I miss you. That's all." I chuckled.

"Really? We had a rough separation. Didn't think you'd call." Her laugh erupted, before she hushed herself, obviously embarrassed.

"I still make you blush? Ahw Sel!" I chuckled. "Call me when you get home? I'd like to talk." I smiled.

I clicked end before she had time to answer. My hands shook with different emotions coursing through me. Excitement, nervousness, I couldn't quite catch just one.

This girl hadn't left my mind since she left. I watched as trucks were loaded up, and as she climbed in her car to drive away for the last time. I was hurting the entire time, but I decided to let her go. She needed to. I refused to hold her back. Yet here I am, trying to pull her back in. Call me selfish, but I need her. The minute I laid eyes on her I knew she had to be mine.

Distance can kiss my ass.
