"Have I told you, you look incredible? Because you do." Jc chuckled. We had been sitting in his car for nearly half an hour, driving who knows where.
"Where are we going?" I groaned. I hated being stuck in a car for forever, especially when I had to pee.
"Just a few more minutes baby, I promise." he grinned. There was obviously something he wasn't telling me. Then again, there was a lot he wasn't telling me. "Have you heard from your parents?"
"Not really. My dad shot me a text the other day asking if I needed money but that's about it. They're busy on my mom's set. This movie's supposed to be huge or something." I shrugged. I was used to not talking to my parents much.
"We're here." He let out a deep breath, pulling up to a small looking building. Surrounding the building was what seemed like acres of fields.
"Where are we?" I asked, not bothering to follow Jc when he got out. Of course he pulled my door open and forced me out.
"Somewhere special." He beamed. His fingers laced into mine, tugging me forward towards the building.
As we got closer I heard laughter, voices, and music. Was this a party we were about to crash?
"Surprise!" Voices shouted out from every angle once Jc pulled the door open. Everywhere I looked, people I surprisingly knew were smiling, or laughing, drinks in hand for most.
"Selena!" Andrea rushed up, squeezing me tightly. "Were you surprised?
"I, um yeah. What's going on?" I let out a nervous laugh. Jc's hand had left mine, which made me nervous.
As if feeling my uneasiness, Jc's arm snaked around my waist. "I know I messed up your birthday a while back, and a lot of other stuff. This doesn't make up for anything, but I just wanted to throw you a party and invite people that love you, and some other people." He grinned.
I was too in shock to even move. Sure enough, Sam was here, the rest of O2L, Nick, Andrea, and people I recognized from school.
"Sel!" Nick ran over. Jc let go so I could hug Nick. "How've you been girl?"
"Good, what about you? How's school?" I scrunched my nose teasingly.
"You know me, slacking off and still passing." He shrugged.

As the party went on, I was passed from person to person, getting late happy birthday's or a small conversation about life. There were so many people I didn't even know. Luckily, I found time to get away from the festivities. Out back, the fields ran long, the stars in the sky seemed to shine brighter here than anywhere else in the city, and the air was so fresh my lungs cramped.
"Hey." I jumped at the voice, only to find that it was Connor.
"Hey Con." I gave a tired smile.
"So you and Jc huh?" He grinned, shoving his hands in his pockets.
"Yeah. Finally." I gave a light laugh.
"He's a lucky guy. I'm glad he found you though, he's different now." He shrugged.
"Different how?" My curiosity was at an all time high now.
"He's not so secretive anymore for one. He actually talks to the guys now. He had beef with Sam and Kian for a while and you just kind of fixed it." Another shrug. "He's happy now, it even shows in his videos."
"Well, I'm glad I make him happy. He makes me happy." I could feel my cheeks flush.
"Who makes you happy?" I recognized Jc's voice.
"Think super cute guy Justin." I teased.
"I'm going to have to kick somebody's ass." he wrapped an arm around my waist. "Connor you down to help?"
The three of us just laughed. The night engulfing the sounds of the party, Jc's arm tightening it's grip, our hearts seemed to be synchronizing. Connor excused himself and disappeared back into the crowd of people.
"So, what do you think?" Jc gulped.
"This was fun, I'm just tired. Too many people in a small space, but it's great." I smiled.
"I just wanted to do something nice for you."
"Everything you do is nice Justin."
"Well, almost everything." His arm left my body. "I have to tell you something."
"Go for it." I tried to not sound nervous.
"Well, at the end of the school year." He took in a deep breath. "I'm moving."
