Partners

The next day after I got to school and made it to class Mr. Willoughby announced that we would be having a partner project. Man I haven't done a partner project since middle school.
"I'm going to announce the partners." Mr. Willoughby announced. He then began to name off the partners and through out the class the students sighed in disapproval or cheered that they got their friend to work with.
"Daniel you'll be with," let it be the hot blonde in the front of the class, sure I don't know her name but she's damn fine.
"Mykie." You have got to be kidding me.
"What!" I looked over to see Mykie stood up from her seat. "I have to work with this punk." Well at least it's not jackass.
"Yes, other than his lack of concern for them Mr. Winston has one of the best grades, you have one of the worst to create a balanced partnership I put you too together." Mr. Winston explained.
"Oh this is gonna be good." I snickered, followed by an evil glare from Mykie. "Hello partner." I smirked.
"Don't push it." Mykie said as she sat back down.
"Wouldn't dream of it partner." I egged on. In frustration she laid her head on her desk and I laughed, I was going to enjoy this.

After school ended I found Mykie standing in the front of the school talking to Caleb. As I made my way over Caleb noticed me and told Mykie I was coming which resulted in a judging glare from her.
"Well hello partner." I said putting extra enfaces on partner.
"What do you want?" She spat.
"Well I thought that maybe since we're partners now we could go to my house to discuss the project or your house if you want." I suggested.
"Why?" She asked.
"So we can get ahead start on it and not have to wait till the last minute evolving into a good grade." I explained.
"Whatever." She said.
"So is that a yes?" I asked.
"I guess." She answered
"Can you give a straight answer?"
"Yes, there you happy."
"Yes I am thank you." I said childishly. "So your house or mine?" I asked.
"Your's I don't want to deal with mine." She said.
"Uhh ok."
"Hey I'll see you later." She said to Caleb.
"Ok bye." He waved as me and her headed out to the parking lot to find my mom waiting in her car for me.
"Oh Daniel who's this?" She asked looking at Mykie.
"Mom this is Mykie she's coming over so we can work on a project we're partners." I explained to her.
"Oh ok, hop in." She said and me and Mykie hopped in the car and headed to my house.
