A few days later, Sara was already in good terms with everyone, including Rachel. She was prohibited to go anywhere except the news studio to recover, as instructed by Wolf.
"Are you ready? In 30 minutes, we'll go live!" Jamie shouted from the back of the room.
"Okay, Jamie! I'll be there in a few moments," she said, finishing her makeup touches.
Then suddenly, they heard a banging sound up above.
"Wh-what the hell was that?!" asked Jamie, terrified by what he heard. "Come on, guys! Let's go out!"
And so they went out as a fuse sparked from the FTE studio, and luckily, there were no damages.
"We need this fuse to be replaced immediately," said Wolf. The fuse was replaced after a few moments.
"Sara, 5 minutes before we go live!" Jamie shouted. Sara was already there, fixing her things and doing some retouch.
"Are you ready? In 3, 2, 1..."
"Good morning everyone, here are the news today."
"Thank God it went good," Jamie murmured to himself.
"I'm Sara Simpson, sitting in for Chloe today, and we begin with the Mt. Calgary eruption in Arkansas, and live from there is Sabrina Lee. Sab, how's Mt. Calgary as of this time?"
"Yes, Sara, it's still quiet as of now, but it can erupt anytime. As of 3:12 pm ET, it's still in the orange border, meaning it can be quiet, but it will still have some volcanic activity anytime. Sara?"
"Thank you and please stay safe there. That was Sabrina Lee, reporting live from Mt. Calgary in Arkansas. Our next story is a chilling murder case that happened in Manhattan last week. We have here Alexandra Mitchell to give us the latest updates."
Meanwhile, Jamie was drinking his coffee until he heard another clucking sound, this time above the studio where they were doing the live show.
"Oh no, what the heck was that?!" exclaimed Jamie.
"Thank you, Alex and we have some technical problems here, so we gotta pause for a quick break and this is The News Today."
"This is for real! There's a fire here!" a guy yelled from up above. Everyone inside the studio ran to another studio below it to air the remaining minutes of the show.
"I'm so sorry about that, there was a fire just now in the studio where we are earlier and we gotta transfer here to air this show. So thank you for bearing with us, and we go now to Valerie Gutierrez with the latest updates about the murder trial of Jonathan Shapiro. Valerie?"
"Has the fire been put out?" Jamie asked to one of his producers.
"Yes, but we can't still go there," the producer said.
"Okay, get back to work," he replied and stood beside the large camera in front of Sara.
"This political commentator is making her debut now right here on The News Today, and she is a great person, a straightforward conservative and a loving mother, but she'll be here right after this commercial break. You're watching The News Today."
"Can I see the studio?" she asked.
"Make it fast, we'll only have 8 minutes until we go live once again."
"Okay," and she rushed to the studio. When she came there, she was devastated and simply broke down.
Meanwhile, the show was already airing when she came back.
"I'm sorry about that. I hope our studio will be renovated immediately, and now we go to Dorothy Harris and we'll talk about why Trump keeps on making his campaign great. Good morning, Dorothy, and welcome to WLAC. It's a great pleasure to meet you."
