She glances on the very place where Anderson met her. The rainy weather didn't matter for his special surprise for her. Of course, the proposal was live...on national television.

*flashback*

November 9, 2013

Anderson was with Rachel for a few days already. He was in the Philippines, reporting from the horrible, devastating town of Tacloban City, Leyte. She didn't know what was in store for her that time.

"Rachel Christie Adams, you know how much I loved you. Until the first time I met you, I knew that you were the right person for me. So, Rachel. Let me ask you. Will you be my forever?"

She cried in awe and happiness. She agrees and it was broadcasted live on national [and international] television. The moment has arrived.

*end of flashback*

She glances again, this time on the engagement ring he gave him.

And she walks out of the house, starts her car, and drives to work. There she was met by her friends Chloe, Lynn and Sara.

Sara pats her back and greets her with a wild "Good morning!"

Sara Simpson is probably the wildest of them all. She is one of the most famous faces of WLAC, along with her friends Chloe O'Hara, Lynn McConnell and the soon-to-be Mrs. Cooper, Rachel.

Sara drinks in her beer as she chatted with them after Rachel and Anderson came back to the US following the Haiyan aftermath.

After that, Victoria Carter, her anchor-friend in London, called her to congratulate her.

Victoria was a friend of hers since when she first worked there back in the 2000s. She changed bureaus in 2009, and that changed her life forever. She met Anderson while on her first stint as a WLAC correspondent. He was walking towards his home on New York when he saw her reporting.

He glimpsed at her for a moment, and went inside to his home, only to look at her through the window. He was fascinated like hell. It was a heavenly feeling.

The very next day, he found Rachel editing her footage, along with her cameraman Jamie Carter, Victoria's older brother. He approached her for the very first time.

"Uhm, hi, Rachel. I-I'm A-Anderson. N-Nice t-to meet you," he stutterly greets. He was truly fascinated by the way she looks.

She was surprised and greeted him back. The look in Anderson's eyes was so priceless. They ended up becoming friends.

Then lunchtime came, but Rachel was on-air that time. He felt sad, so he ate alone. But much to Anderson's surprise, Rachel joined him.

"W-why are you here?" he asked. Rachel just eats and he became happy. He even shared his lunch with her.

Then their meeting became awkward. Lynn was eavesdropping on their conversation and their first meeting became news off-cam.

"Why did you...?"

This were the first words she said after their meeting. She still had butterflies in her stomach and can't get over it.

Despite their busy schedule, they still find time to interact with each other. The newsroom was filled with gossip. And the topic? Them.

They didn't care about the gossip. In fact, they were more awkward than ever. Frequently, they are silent, having deep eye contact with each other. Rachel was like: Speak now! Do you have anything to say? But it was to no avail.

Days passed, it was still like that. Eye contacts, awkward poses, and all. It was getting worse.

No! What should I do? she thought. Frustrated, she walked out to the studio and slouched on the sofas.

Too bad for her, the camera was rolling.
