Chapter 45: The Finale

Anne's POV

*knock knock*

"K? Are you awake na?" I called out. "Yoohoo~ Honey ko? Papasok na ako ah" I said and opened the door and entered her room "Uy bangon ka na dyan." I said while looking at her. She's still covered with a blanket. I placed the tray of two coffees on the end table and held her above the blanket only to find out that she's not in bed. "K? K nasaan ka?" I said and quickly headed to the veranda.

I smiled when I saw her sitting on the bench. She managed to go there without anybody's help. I got the two cups of coffee and gave one to her.

"Good morning" I tell her. She just nodded and smiled and stared at the sky. "Ang aga mo gumising ah. Sorry pala ah kung 'di kita natabihan matulog, sa sobrang pagod ko kasi kagabi, nalimutan ko nang lumipat sa kwarto mo. Medyo napasarap tulog ko eh. hehe,, Kumusta pala 'yung lakad mo with mom and dad?" I asked and scratched my head. "Ang aga mo gumising, 'di ba mamaya pa naman tayo mamamasyal? Ano bang ginagawa mo dito? Waiting for the sun to rise?" I asked and took a sip on my coffee.

"Anne.."

"Yes?"

"When the sun sets this afternoon, please try your best not to cry" she said before she took a glance on me. My heart skipped a beat. Somehow, I know what she meant by that but of course, I am trying my best not to make my heart believe on what she's saying. "Promise me." she tells me. I just forced a smile and decided not to answer her.

I sat beside her on the bench and rested my head on her shoulder, and slowly, I grabbed and held her hand.

"I love you, Karylle. So much." I said and kissed her hand.

"I love you, too" she tells me and pinched my nose. "Sige na, maligo ka na. Sayang ang oras, I want to spend my whole day with you" she said. I nodded and stood up. I entered the room again and took a deep breath; trying my best not to cry.

I took a glance at her again and she's still looking up in the sky; holding the cup of coffee I gave her. "'Wag muna, please? 'Wag Mo muna siyang kunin." I whispered in the air.

"Oh, kaya mo?" I asked her the moment she went out of the comfort room, fresh from the bath.

"Oo naman, ako pa ba?" she confidently said with a smile, trying her very best to walk towards me. I just smiled at her, I wanted to help her of course, but I know her, she wants to do it on her own.

"So.. saan ba tayo pupunta?" I asked while brushing my hair while I am still sitting on her bed.

"Ikaw, anywhere with you." she answered and hugged me on the side.

I took a deep breath and forced a smile.

"I want to be anywhere with you too" I tell her. "Just take me with you, K" I tell her which made her let out a small laugh.

"Not that, baby." she said casually and pinched me on my cheek. "Sige na, magbibihis na muna ako. Ikaw magluto ng breakfast ko ah."

"Ehh" I said sounding like a baby and pout my lips. "I'm not good at cooking honeybunch, sa labas nalang tayo kumain tutal, lalabas din naman tayo eh" she chuckled and pinched both of my cheeks.

"Alam mo, ang cute cute cute mo talaga! Nanggigigil ako!!" she said and hugged me tightly. "Sa sobrang gigil ko sa'yo, gusto kitang kainin eh" she tells me. Now, it's my turn to laugh. "Oops! Ayan ka na naman ha, wala akong ibang ibig sabihin dun! Hala, sige na sige na, sa labas nalang tayo kumain. Saglit at magbibihis lang ako." she said and stood up again. I just stared at her. "Ayan ka na naman, pinanonood mo na naman ako magbihis."
