"What is she doing here?" bulong ko kay Trite. Binilisan namin ang kilos namin. Iniisip na namin kung saan sya sa maliit na kwarto ko magtatago. "This is ridiculous! Boyfriend kita, bakit kita kailangang itago? At sa kanya pa!"
He kissed me. "Sorry na. Alam mo namang hindi nya dapat malaman na tayo. She'd tell Tito for sure."
"Okay fine. Sa CR ka na lang," I shoved him there.
"Gayle?!" tawag at katok ni Micah. There was slight impatience in her tone.
I opened the front door when Trite had gone sa loob ng CR. There stood Micah in all her glory. "Micah?" I had to look and sound like I was guessing who she is.
She's with three other girls na kamukha nya sa ayos, sa damit at sa kilos. They were all rich, snotty, entitled girls. Just like I was. God, I missed being one.
"Hi Gayle," bati ni Micah. "We met diba when you were with Sach, Trite and Kealy in that cupcake shop? I was, I believed, introduced." She sweetly smiled. So this means she's going to ask me for a favor.
"Mmmm, yes," sagot ko looking at all of them. "What is this about? How did you find me here?"
"My maid's daughter rents in this compound," Micah was quick to answer.
You still have a maid. Ridiculous. At least call her your PA, not your maid. Geez.
She continued. "She heard from her landlady that the daughter of General Adario is living here kaya nandito kami. We asked the guard na lang which unit you're in kaya we're here!" she happily announced like I should thank her. Dapat bang nagpa-pansit ako dahil dinalaw nila 'ko?
"Aren't you going to let us in your... home?" tanong ng isa sa kanila.
No. "'Wag na, magulo eh. Hindi pa 'ko nakakapag-linis," dahilan ko.
"So dito ka na talaga nakatira?" tanong ng isa pang kasama nya. Sumilip sila sa kwarto ko. May awa sa mga mata nila.
"Um, yes."
"How are you holding up?" may awang tanong ng isa pa.
Ano ba 'to? Exhibit ba 'ko? Curious ba sila sa buhay ko kaya they're here? "Um, why are you girls here?" I asked again with urgency.
Micah smiled. I braced myself. Kealy had told me she's a Master Manipulator. "We learned na you're the new member of Lifeline. Our friend's their Stylist kaya nalaman namin."
"Ahhh." Yun pala. "Oo. Why?" I asked.
"We're just wondering if we can watch your practice tomorrow?" excited na tanong nung fourth girl. I saw a glint in her eye. She really wanted to be there.
"Why?" tanong ko.
"We're fans of Lifeline. Especially of Carlo," sabi ni Micah. "I actually saw your IG post with him. Hindi naman pwedeng kayo ni Carlo dahil kayo ni Sach 'no? Sabi nga ng anak ng maid ko, parati daw si Sach dito. Kayo ah. At least active ang sex life mo in spite of what happened to you. We all know Sach..." Nangiti ang ibang mga babae sa sinabi ni Micah.
How dare this girl?! Is she really asking me for a favor? Sa mga pinagsasasabi nya?
Kaya pala ang akala ni Trite kami ni Sach. Kaya pala sure na sure sya na kami ni Sach dahil itong babaeng ito pala ang nagfi-feed sa kanya ng ganung information through her maid's daughter.
"So ano, can we?" she asked again.
Since they asked nicely, matutupad agad? Nah-uh, no. "Hindi kasi allowed eh," tutol ko. Pero baka mamilit pa kaya I added, "Pero I'll see what I can do."
