I looked up at Gene. "Alright fine!" I hissed. Gene and I sit down a simple smokey gray couch. "Alright so....." I started.

"I grew-up on a small farm outside of O'kasis, with my father and older brother Samuel. I don't remember them much to be honest.... But what I really remember was playing with the chickens all the time and chasing the hens for hours with Samuel and him teasing me all the time. Calling me shorty or prissy. I really hated that." I began with a small smile on my face. "But then everything....... changed as a former guard from the Royal Stationary..... and... H-He..." Tears started to rise up in my eyes. All the words I wanted to say for so long chokes up in my throat. I feel Gene gently place his hand on my shoulder. "That bastard killed my family. My father, my brother." I hissed as I wiped the tears from my face."So is that why you were screaming and crying in your sleep?" Gene asked me. I nodded in response. "But then I had nowhere to go to, so I decided that I would sneak into O'kasis. I met some of my first friends there..... We were all orphans and lived on the streets. Sometimes I can still hear them calling my name in the dark..." I sigh quietly. "Okay." Says Gene sounding uneased. "So we called ourselves the BackAlly Kids and most of the time we kept to ourselves and rarely helped other people." I continued. "Do you mind telling their names?" Asked Gene. "Of course. So we had code names so no one would ever now our actual names, just in case we were caught." I said while looking up at Gene. "So I was Aryia, and there was Bunny, Chai, Duke, and Raphael as our code names." I responded. "Wait so you won't tell me their actual names?" Gene asked while looking surprised. I shook my head no. "That would be breaking a promise." I responded briskly. "And then somethings happened.... They figured out what I was and tried to kill me so I left...."

"So that then one day I was minding my own business. You know doing what a kid does. Until I ran into a kid with black hair and piercing blue eyes. But I remember laughing and call him one eye because he always had one eye covered with bangs. And of course he called me short." I chuckled. "Then slowly but surely we became friends.... At the time I didn't know anything about him, until he invited me over for supper at his home. And it was a 'fancy' dinner so I had to get all dressed-up for that..." I sighed. "What did you wear?" Gene asked me. I looked up at him. "I wore a nice pair of stalks and my best button-down shirt with a blue lapis locket." I said quickly, trying to hide the exact same locket that I just told Gene about. "But that's besides the point, because when we walked to his place.... It was a castle! He was one of the sons to the Lord of O'kasis. I had no idea. But I can see why he waited to tell me...." I trailed off. "As we both walked in I saw two strange boys playing in the entrance. They were fighting over a dumb toy, who it belonged to or something like that.... Then my friend introduced me to them..... Of course it was a little awkward considering I was the same age as the youngest.." I continued. "May I ask what their names were?" Gene snaps at me. "Oops. Sorry I am terrible at story-telling. So their names are Garroth, Zane, and Vylad. They are all amazing people. But sadly I lost contact with them a few years back... But back to the story!" I said, trying to sound more cheerful and faking a smile to cover-up the pain I was feeling now.

"So ummmmm...... Garroth and Vylad stopped fighting right away and I couldn't help but laugh...... But of course that made Zane upset. So Zane took me up to their room and played up there for a while. And then out of nowhere Garroth comes crying in saying he saw a dying bird... That was sad of course. But kind of ridiculous. So of course Garroth comes up to me with the corpse of the bird in his hands. It was disgusting." I shuttered. "I'm sure..." Agreed Gene. "Continuing.... Zane started to argue with Garroth about bringing in the dead bird. So I left the room and saw Vylad standing out in the hallway. So that is sort of how I met those three. And they are like family to me..." I said.

"But then some how they figured out what I have been through and wanted to help me... Which was very kind of them and so I stayed with them for a couple of years. And then I became a guard in Meteli after Garroth left home and everything went downhill from there for me....." I sighed. "Do you now where this Garroth moved to?" Gene asks me. I shook my head no. "Alright so please do continue." Gene told me. "Alright so as I moved to Meteli I became a guard for the Lord there. There are some really nice people and I made a couple of good friends there. And there was this one guy named Laurence. He knew how to make anyone smile." I said with a smirk on my face. "Strangely enough, my first couple of days there he spoke to me... He was usually shy around other girls. But not me. But I'm guessing that he thought of me more of a guy then a girl." I said bluntly. "So then I met Sasha there through being a guard. Ummm, let's see. Sasha, Laurence and I had some good times together, now when I think back on it... But then of course many other things happened as well. But I would think it would be best that I didn't mention those times." I said while standing up.

"Well it was nice talking with you Gene..." I said while quietly closing the door behind me.
