It was late in the evening. Just Laurence and I.... Garroth and Dante were suppose to be back much sooner, "Before the sunset." They both agreed on.

"When will they be back?" Laurence asks me as he rocks back in a wooden chair. I hear him place his feet on the table. "I'm... not sure." I responded as I headed for the ladder. "Your going to bed?" He asks me. "Eh? No. I'm goin' to grab something." I addressed.

Upstairs I slip into my room. Everything was spotless, so clean. On top of my bed was a large black sack with gifts for them. For the holidays. I grab it and rush down the ladder.

"Whoa. I see that you got presents for everyone." He yawns as he stands up. "Uhm. Here." I said as I shoved a bright red box at him. "For me...?" He asks me. I nod yes, "It's says your name on it." I sighed as I took the stack of paperwork off the table and placed the other gifts on top. One for Dante, one for Garroth, and that's all. "Cool... Thanks Shay." Says Laurence as he hold up a woven scarf. "Hmh, happy holidays!" I cheered with a bright smile. He smiles back at me, "Happy holidays to you to." He says in response as he wraps the dark green scarf around his neck. "I'm assuming you made scarves for everyone else and that's why you locked yourself up in your room for hours." He says. That was a earful to hear.

I turn around and start to arrange the gifts with little pieces of paper that had their name on it. Afterwards I go upstairs and grab my cloak. Coming out of my room I saw Laurence coming up the ladder. "I'm going down to the docks." I stated as I walked past him. "I'm coming with you as well." Laurence say as he follows me to the docks.

When we got there the moon was just barely up in the night sky. "The moon." I muttered as I walked down to the water. Suddenly I felt someone grab a lox of my hair. I grow tense and looked over my shoulder. "You know. I almost forgot that your hair turned sliver in the moonlight." Laurence mumbles. Idiot... I pull myself away from, "I wish it would snow here." I wished out loud. "You never know.... It might."

It seemed like hours, standing next to Laurence, my love, my hope, my destruction. "I wish.... I wish that Ungrth was here." It slipped. I cringe, expecting for Laurence to explode out of anger and hurt. "I do too. I miss him, so much." He sounded hurt as those words came out of his mouth. I reach out my hand and place it on his shoulder. In the dark I felt him place his hand over mine. Within seconds my face started to burn up. "Laurence.... It's snowing." I said.

Little white snowflakes were falling from the sky. One landed on my nose, it melted within seconds. "No it's not!" Laurence snaps at me. I lift up his chin, so he would see the heavy clouds coming rolling in. "Snow...."

Shortly we made it back to the Guards Station. "Night Laurence." I sighed as I started my way to the second floor. I then felt warmth, warmth up against my back. I pause and find Laurence, embracing me. I place my hand on top of his head, "It's late. Get some sleep." I whispered as I tried to pull his off. His grip became tighter. "Let go!" I demanded as I finally pried him off. I see his eyes fill with mostly anger. "I'm sorry.... Good night...." I mutter as I go to my room.

What's wrong with me....? I love him, do I?

I fall onto my bed and heard Garroth and Dante loudly returning. Hours have passed, I stared up at the ceiling. Until there was a knock at my door. "Sis." It was Garroth. I get up and open the door. He was wearing the scarf I made for him. "Happy holidays!" I greeted him. "Yes same to you to. And thank you for the gift." He says as he places a hand on top of my head. "Yeah thanks Shay." Chimes in Dante. I couldn't help but smile. "Thank you..." I beards managed to say. Joy took over in a blink of an eye.

These are my friends, some are family. But these are people who I cherish and want to spend my holiday with... Even though they aren't all here.
