A new day has come.

I heard news that Lord Aphmau has returned from Meteli along with Laurence.

I stand outside Lucinda's home, out on patrol. As I was walking past I see a kid with tan skin and a grey helm on rushing outside. "SHAY!" He shouts my name, he was maybe out of the Guard Academy, considering how young he looked. "Yes....?" I ask him while turning around, glaring at him, no expression came across his face. "Lucinda has a potion that may work." He responds, with now a gleaming smile on his face. "For what?" I ask the kid. A blank expression, "Seriously....?" He mumbles, now frustrated with me. "For my little sister, Alexis." He growls at me. "Ah. Yes. Do show me." I continued. He nods and shows me the way.

Upstairs, Lucinda was at her table, preparing the potion. On her table was jars of unusual jars filled with stringy grass from the shoreline, Goblin eyes, and much more. Beside the bed stood Molly and Dale a worried look was written on her face, scared for her daughter, Alexis. I feel sadness rise up, but I pushed it back down. Those people didn't deserve pity, but a solution to fix the problem at hand.

"Shay. I need your help." Called Lucinda from behind. "Yep." I responded as I walked up next to her. She was holding a blow full of a purple sparking liquid. "Hold the bowl." She instructs. I did as she told me. I held the bowl as she poured the concoction in. Some of the boiling potion landed on my hand. The sensation was unforgivable my skin peeling and burning. Tears rolled down my cheeks, hitting my hand. "S-Sorry." Muttered Lucinda as she whipped open a clear bottle and poured it on my hand. It sizzled as the liquid hit my skin. All eyes were on us. "Are you alright?" Molly asks me. I nod yes as wiped the tears from my cheeks.

"Alrighty." Says Lucinda as she wipes a rugged clothe on my burned hand. I flinched and quickly turned around and mumble thank you.

Alexis still lie asleep. Her hair now neatly combed and her bow freshly placed on, pulling back her bangs. Her mother stood over her with hope in her eyes. A small smile tugged across my lips.

About fifteen minutes have passed until Lucinda told us to surround her. Garroth has joined us as well.

As Lucinda was beginning the potion I hear a voice, Laurence. "Hey..." He whispers as he places his hand my shoulder. I look up at him and smile, brightly. In return he gave me dry one. I then look over to see Lord Aphmau gazing over the child. A warm, motherly aura surrounded her.

Lucinda welcomes her quickly and orders her to stay back. She obeyed and watched closely as Lucinda splashes the potion onto Alexis. Within seconds the toddler jerks awakes, sitting straight up. Her eyes drawn to her loving family. "M-My little sister....." I heard the kid mumble, behind his parent shouting and cheering about Alexis now waking up.

I then felt Garroth hug me out of joy and smiled. A smile thankful for family, a sibling close by. Someone who he has shared many memories with, filled with joy and happiness of the simpler days.

As everything was happening Dale and I helped Lucinda to her bed. She drained all her energy while she broke the curse on Alexis.

She slumps on her bed with Bigglesworth snuggling up against her side. "Thank you Dale and Shay." She huffed as she pulls her cover over herself. As Dale and I began to leave she calls my name. "Yes?" I ask her. "Thank you for your help...." She yawns as she reaches out her hand. "Water?" Lucinda asks me with a rough voice. "Sure." I sighed as I went downstairs. There I saw Lord Aphmau smiling and talking to Dale and Molly.

I sigh and go back upstairs with the glass of water and silently go back down the stairs.

I decide to head out, finish my patrol. As I went outside I saw Laurence walking with Garroth. "Garroth, Laurence." I say, in a way to greet them. "What happened to your hand?" Laurence asks me. "Nothing." I responded. "Alright...." He sighs as chooses that it's best to leave it at that. Garroth gives me look. "But anyway. How was your trip with Lord Aphmau?" I continue. "It went well." He snapped. "That's good." Garroth than sniffled. I  am going to ask if he is sick later. But right now is not the time.

Later in that evening Lord Aphmau made arrangements with Molly and Dale to hold a party for Alexis. To have a small celebrate of her waking up after, weeks. The poor child.......

Instead of going I went to the Guard Tower to accompany Dante. Since Dale and Molly only wanted a small party.

At first we just sat at the table and chatted. Chatted for hours of our distant future plans. He said how he always wanted to settle down somewhere and have a family. In response I said I wanted to travel, be on my own with no more cares about the damn world. He also agreed. But he wanted someone who would love every part of him, never leave him.

"Dante. You know Garroth, Laurence, Lord Aphmau, Kawaii~Chan, Lucinda and all of your friends would never leave you." I blurted. He just looks at me and stands up. "I know.... Shay." He notified. "It's getting late." He says, closing off our former conversation. I agree and stood up as well.

I then went off into the night. Hoping to find something.
