Hey guys! I'm so sorry that my fanfic isn't following the plot line of MCD right now. But soon it will when Garroth and Laurence go after Aphmau when she meets Dante and Shay will go with them. And yep! Hope you enjoy!

A couple of days has passed. Not much happened. Except Lord Aphmau has returned from Meteli. She was at the docks. "Lord Aphmau. I'm glad you made it safely." I was walking through down the path and I saw Garroth talking to her. She looked tired. Her black hair was all dirty from travel and she had bags under her eyes. "I'm glad to be home." She responded to Garroth. I stalked down the stairs that lead down to the docks. "Shay?" Lord Aphmau noticed me. "Hi!" I yelped out of surprise. She smiles warmly at me. "Good to see you at Phoenix Drop." She said to me. "Yea. It's nice to be home." I responded. "Home?" Asked Garroth. "Yep!" I said quickly. I then ran up the stairs and went to a small part of the forest. It was beautiful there with the trees growing at this time of the year. Too much has changed, the village itself has grown stronger and so have the people.

Last night Garroth told me how Donna and Logan were going to have a wedding soon. Who new..... I honestly can't wait and earlier this morning I saw Cadenza taking a walk with Laurence. I'm grateful to Lady Irene that she is safe and that she has a brother like Laurence to keep her safe. But at the same time I felt like I have an emptiness inside of me. Why did Laurence try to kiss me?! He has said to me so many times that doesn't know how he feels, that he is still adjusting.

"What are you doing up there?" I look down from a simple birch tree that I was sitting on, it was Cadenza. "I don't know anymore." I sighed as I climbed down the tree. "Well you know you always went to high places when you wanted to be alone." I heard an emptiness in her words. I reach out my hand and place it onto her shoulder. "Cadenza. Are you okay...?" I asked her. She grew tense quickly I saw tears forming in her worried eyes. I hug her, to comfort Cadenza. "Tell me. Please." I begged. "I-it's Laurence..... I'm so worried about him. I want the best for him right now. And dad..... And home." She started to sob. "What's bothering you?" I asked her. "With Laurence, I don't know if he'll be okay..." Cadenza started. "Simple. Just give him time. Alright?" I answered. She nodded warily, "Just time, just time." She muttered to herself. She lets go of me and starts to walk away with her head down, lost in thought. She must of broke under pressure.

I then decided to just leave her alone and visit an old friend's grave. At the time it didn't have a path going to it. But standing right in front of Ungrth's grave was Laurence. The grave had gold and diamond surrounding it and along with vibrant roses, colour of blood. In my hand I was holding a red tulip. Where ever I went this flower was there and gave some hope. It seemed like it was yesterday when Ungrth and Laurence were soaring in the sky close to Meteli. But those days are gone....

"Laurence..." I said his name. He was trembling with grief. I place down the red tulip and close my eyes. Hoping to see him again. A second later I felt someone leaning on me. I open my eyes, the soft colours of the sunset took over my vision. But on my shoulder was Laurence hiding his face in my hood. I knew the pain of loosing someone, it was so familiar to me. "Laurence?" It was Lord Aphmau. I quickly pull myself away from him and turned my back to him. Lord Aphmau came walking over. She looked a little better after getting some rest. "Good evening, my Lord." I said to her as I lowered my head and walked past her. "Shay." She said my name. She wanted to know something. "May I be your guard?" I asked her, I had nowhere else to go. "Yes you may be my guard, so long you swear loyalty to me." She answered gently. I look up at her, her amber eyes were so sweet, now I could see why Garroth has fallen for her, and Laurence. "I do...." I said with tears running down my cheek. Lord Aphmau smiles at me, How can she be so strong? She then turns to Laurence and starts to talk with him. I guess he was now a guard here too.

As I was walking back to Mine. I saw Brendan and Kawaii~Chan talking. "Shay~Chan! Where have you been?!" Kawaii~Chan yelped at me. "Uhhhhh." Was all I said. Strangely she added Chan to the end of my name. I have a general idea of what that means and the endings that typically Meif'was put at the end of someone's name. And usually they use Chan at the end of someone's name that they have known for some time. We only met a few days ago...

"Great. You're back!" I turned around to see Emmalyn. "Hey Emmalyn." I greeted her. "Shay! Did you get the new book of the Dawn Chronicles?!" She asks me loudly. I shook my head no. "C'mon then." She said to me as she took me by the hand and started to drag me back to the library. Thank Irene. I didn't want to get caught up into Kawaii~Chan business. At least some are doing okay.
