-------------------------------------------------------------
It was now the late afternoon of a new day. By the each moments the tensions are growing. Everyone is now on edge, knowing Katelyn's boat is close by.
"Shay you should go onto patrol." Dante tells me from behind. I turn around to see Dante standing behind me, his blue hair ruffled from sleep. "Yeah. Good idea, I'll be going now." I respond, my voice sounding hoarse. I go through the door of the Guard Station and into the village with Dante behind me. "So, you want to join me?" I ask Dante with a smug look across my face. "Sure why not..." He sighs. So Dante and I walked in silence around the village.
Off in the distance, in the waters was a strange white boat with chickens covering it. "What....the..." Begins Dante. "Danger....." I hear him mutter. I then saw him sprint toward Lord Aphmau's home. "Dante! No! It's just Castor." I finish the sentence to myself. He kept running so I suppose he didn't hear me.
"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING!" Bellows Castor. I look closer, some chickens were swimming in the waters. "Hello!" I shout to him, waving. "SHORTY! IS THAT YOU?!" Castor squints in my direction. "YEP!" I yell back. "GOOD TO SEE YOOUUU!" One of the chickens hops onto The Chicken Shaman's head. He starts to yell and attempting to push the chicken off his head. It plops into the water, I couldn't help but to laugh. "WHY YOU LAUGH!" He scowls as he starts to tend to the ores.
I then heard some more shouting from behind. Behind me was Lord Aphmau, Garroth, Laurence, and Dante. All what I hear Castor say is 'terrible chicken house builder' and 'stupid Laurence'. Good old classical Castor. Always insulting everyone.
After about five minutes the sad chicken boat takes it's leave.
"It was just Castor.... The Chicken Shaman." I hear Laurence say. "I don't see how people put up with that guy." I hear Dante mutter. "Yeah. I do agree." I blurt out loud, a thought that I desired to keep to myself. "I don't see how other people put up with that gut either Dante. Ugh..." Lord Aphmau agrees. At least I wasn't the only one who agrees. Then Laurence went on how Castor is crazy but is skilled in potions, which is true. I have seen some of his creations. They are quite unique, per to say.
"Ahem." The voice was lowish in a sense with a strong feminine aspect. We all turn to see Katelyn in her Jury of Nine armour. She glances me, a cautious look flared up in her turquoise eyes. Rage burned in front of me, "KATELYN I WANT YOU AND YOUR SHIP OUT OF PHOENIX DROP NOW!" Demands Laurence. The rest of us stood their silently and a concerned look comes across Lord Aphmau's pretty face.
"I wish to speak with you all, in private. Please do not draw your weapons." She proposes as she shifts to have a better stance. Next to me Dante shivers with a form of excitement, hunger for action. "What's stopping us?!" He whispers to Lord Aphmau. Katelyn looks above us. I turn my head to see beautiful birds in the sky. Right now is not the time Shay!
"If you strike me down you will not win this war." She says with a calm voice. I hear Laurence say thing but I couldn't make it out from the amount of stress from this damn situation. "I don't trust you. I saw you last night with....." Lord Aphmau spews out her. Of course Katelyn is the calm one, "Please I beg of you. I will not bring any of my guards. Just myself so please... hear me out. I am unarmed." She states. Katelyn proceed to extend her arms, showing she has no weapons on herself. "Shay. Go check on the village." I hear Garroth whisper to me. I look up at him and yes.
I sneak past Garroth and up the hill, Katelyn notices me. I make eye contact with her and give her a solid nod and she nods in return. I then sprint up to Lord Aphmau's home, slamming the door wide open. Inside Zoey sat at the table with a leather covered book in hand and a tea next to her. "What happened?" She asks me frantically as she quickly stands up. "K-Katelyn is coming within minutes to speak to Lord Aphmau and the others about some affairs." I respond. "Alright. Thank you for the heads up." She says as she heads up the stair to grab the boys. I then head to Kiki's Barn. Leona sat outside with Yip, playing in the dirt. "Yip." I say with a stern tone, The little Werewolf turns to me. "What is it?" He asks me. "We are in danger. Go home and tell your parents, but to stay calm because we are not exactly sure of what is going on." I answer. I hear a gasp and see Kiki standing in front of me with now Leona in her arms. "Shay. Is that true?" She asks me. "Yes so be careful." I imply. "Thank you." Kiki huffs as she walks in.
I then pull out my sword. "I'll walk you him Yip." I announce. His tail twitches, "Why a sword?" He asks me. "Safety." I sigh.
As we walked to Donna and Logan's home I warn a couple of other villagers. Thankfully they took it calmly. And as we made it to there I first knock on the door, "Hold on!" Calls out Donna. "Mom! It's me Yip and Shay!" He howls. Then the door swings open, Logan stood there. "Are you hurt?" He asks the pup as he kneels down. "Y-Yeah... I'm alright." He whimpers and pulls himself into Logan's jacket. "So you already know?" I ask him. "Yes we do." He snaps at me. "Whoa. Word does spread like fire." I mutter to myself. "It's a small village." Logan responds in a flat tone. He then closes the door behind himself.
I walk towards the Guard Tower, filled with relief knowing that everyone is safe, for now.
Storming up to the final floor and shove out a chair. On the chair I place my bag onto the table and rip out an old amulet, from Skylar. All what I hope for is that it still works and that he and Blaze are safe. It has been so long from the last time I have spoken to any of them.
The amulet begins to glow, "H-Hello.....?" A low, scruffy voice asks me. "Blaze is that you?" I ask him. "Yes. Is this Shay?" He asks me in return. "Sure is. Are you two safe?" I ask, jumping right to what I need to know. "We are." I hear Skylar yawn behind Blaze. "Thank Irene." I mumble. "I heard what is happening. Are you safe?" Blaze asks me. "Honestly I'm not sure." I reply. "Has any attacks started?" Skylar buds in. "Not what I know of." I snorted, about done and wanting to go to bed at this rate. "Uhm. Just stay safe. That's all." I sigh, now placing down the amulet next to my face, which layed on the table.
I heard some ruffling around, "N-No. Can we talk?" Skylar questions. "About what?" I told him. "Life. I suppose." Skylar yawns again. "Sure why not." I affirm. "Great. So what have you been you to lately?" He continues. "Nothing but being a guard." Saying those words I realize how uneventful my life can be. "Ooo! You're, you're wearing a dress right now." He guesses. "Yay or nay?" "Yay." I giggle. "HA! I made you laugh!" He cheers. "Heh. Thanks Skylar." I respond. "Anytime!" He chimes in. "Shit. Someone is coming." I mumble. I hear footsteps from bellow. "Hide." Says Skylar. "That's what I was planing to do." I reply as I grab my bag and slip out the window. I place my foot onto the stone edge and pull myself outside. I grab onto the roofing and use all my strength to pull my weight onto the top of the tower. Birds cawed as they flew by. "Did you go up onto the roof?" Skylar questions. "Hehehe. Yes." I gawk as I flatten the dress I was wearing. My bare feet scrape across the rough stone of a roof. "Dumb birds." I hiss as I watch a couple of more birds fly past me. "Are you envious?~" Skylar sings. "Of course I am." I confess as I lay back. "The sun is now slightly setting. It's beautiful." I claim. It actually was as faint oranges and pinks littered the sky. "Yeah. It is beautiful." He agrees. "Well.... Since you haven't asked me I am up to researching magkis of Elves. And my little cupcake has been staying low with me, to stay safe." He adds in. "Good for you." I respond. "More exciting then what you've been doing!" He laughs. "Well...." I hear him tapping his finger on a hard surface. "What's wrong?" I ask him. "Nothing. It's getting late. So good night." Skylar says. "Night Skylar." I reply with a faint smile on my face. "Possibly I'll be coming by." I whisper. But the amulet's light dims, he didn't hear me.
