It was evening now. This afternoon soared by so quickly. I was walking to Kawaii~Chan's house. The Meif'wa invited the girls and I for dinner at her place. I tried to stay calm but outside her house I saw Laurence and Kawaii~Chan talking. I need to move my feelings to the side. Which I did as I recollected my thoughts. As I approached them they didn't take any notice to me. But until I opened the door to Kawaii~Chan's house. "Shay~Chan! You made it!" She squeaked, with her voice she could make anyone deaf when she screams. "Sorry Laurence~Kun, Kawaii~Chan needs to tell the others about Shay~Chan." She said as she scurried off downstairs in her house. I felt Laurence watching me, I turn away and just walked in. "So I heard that you're a guard now, of Phoenix Drop." Laurence stated. "Yea I am." I responded as I gently closed the door behind me.

I look over my shoulder to see Emmalyn standing there. "You know Shay, you should lighten up on Laurence. He's going through a lot." She said to me. "You're right. I'll apologise to him after dinner." I responded. "No you should invite him for dinner and apologise then." Emmalyn sounded more stern now. Now I was angry, "Fine. I will do that." I hissed at her as I reached for the door handle. "Why then are you doing as I say?" Emmalyn asks me. "I'm doing it because I trust you." I said as I opened the door.

On the steps I saw Laurence sitting there with his hands covering his face. I reach out my hand to him. "Come on. I'm sorry how I treated you. It was rude of me." I apologised. He looks up at me with a different look in his pale blue eyes. He takes me by my hand and pulls himself up. I felt Laurence wrap his arms around my neck and places his head on top of mine, "I forgive you." Laurence says in response. I hug him back and pulled myself away from him. "Come on, lets go inside." I said to him as I signal him to follow me.

Downstairs I saw Kiki and Donna chatting and Molly, Emmalyn eating sweets. It seems like everyone was enjoying themselves. "Shay come here." Said Molly as she pulled me by my arm. "Shay~Chan try this!" Said Kawaii~Chan as she handed me a red-velvet cupcake. "Thank you Kawaii~Chan." I mumbled as I take a bite from the delicious cupcake. "Is it good?" Laurence asks me. "Sure is." I responded. "Laurence what are you doing here?" Molly asks him. Then they started to talk about being a guard and all. "So what do you think?" Kawaii~Chan asks me. "It's amazing." I said to her. "Really? Kawaii~Chan is so happy that you enjoy her cupcakes!" Squeaked Kawaii~Chan. I step away slowly and walked up next to Emmalyn.

Kiki and Donna were debating what would make a better pet, a hamster or a dog. "Well hamsters don't require much work." Said Donna. "Yeah. But dogs are much more loyal." Responded Kiki. Donna turns to me, "Shay what is a better pet, hamster or dog?" She asks me. "Honestly I have to say both would be good pets." I wasn't going to take any sides with this one. This irritated both Donna and Kiki. "Why don't you go ask Lord Aphmau." Suggests Emmalyn. "Yea lets go ask her because she has both." Agreed Donna. Then Donna and Kiki went off to ask Lord Aphmau their ridiculous question.

"So Shay...." Started Emmalyn. "What is it?" I ask Emmalyn. "I found this new series called Salt and Blood." She said to me. "What is it about?" I ask her. "By the looks of things it's about Supernatural things." Responded Emmalyn. "Sounds cool." I mumbled yo myself. "I can lend the book to you." Said Emmalyn. "Really?" Now I sounded really excited. "Sure." Said Emmalyn. "Thanks." I said to her as I started to walk to the stairs. "Shay do you know where Kiki and Donna went?" Molly asks me. "They went to go ask Lord Aphmau a question." I responded to her. "What was the question?" Laurence asks me. "What would make a better pet, hamster or dog." I snickered. "Really?" Said Laurence. I nodded. Molly looked like she has given up on trying to keep people at the party.

As I walked outside the sun was setting. Wow. That party seemed timeless. In my bag I grabbed a couple of rhubarb cakes. I was pretty sure that Aaron would like one. As I kept on walking I found Aaron sitting outside the Wyvern cave talking with Raven. I assumed that they were catching up with one another. "Hello." I said to them. "Good evening." Raven said to me while Aaron said nothing. I handed one of the cakes to Raven, he takes it happily. "Would you like one?" I ask Aaron. "What kind is it?" He asks me sounding unsure. "It's a rhubarb cake." I responded. Aaron takes the last one and takes a bite. "Who made this?" He asks me. "A Meif'wa in the village named Kawaii~Chan." I said in response. "Do you have anymore?" Raven asks me. I shake my head no. A disappointing look came across his face.
