"So you remember everything, correct?" I asked him during Chemistry as we waited for the teacher to come.

He nodded confidently.

"Even when you pulled off your clothes right in front of me?"

His face went pink and sent Tessa and Ronnie burst out laughing. "Really? Are you that crazy for her?!" Ronnie said, his eyes brimming with tears.

Liam immediately buried his head in his arms making me smile. He smacked his head on the table a few times, making us all laugh harder. "I can't believe you said that," he said, straightening up. "Especially in front of them!"

I laughed. "We all love making fun of you, you know that, right?"

"You guys like making fun of me too!" Ronnie put in.

"Yeah, we only call you stupid and dumb. We don't humiliate you or anything!" Liam retorted, glaring at me.

I shrugged. "You embarrassed me when you pulled your clothes off!"

Tessa and Ronnie roared with laughter. Liam jumped up and I quickly stood, getting a bit nervous. Maybe I did go a bit too far with the teasing. "Come here, you little traitor!"

I quickly ran to the other side of the table as he reached for me. "Traitor? I didn't do anything!" I said, laughing as he chased me.

I spotted the teacher come in and sat down, then I realized that she was a substitute. Liam took his seat, pulling my chair closer to him. I quickly tried to pry his fingers off but they were glued on. He smirked as I glared at him. My seat hit his and he still kept his fingers wrapped around the leg of the chair.

"Excuse me!" The substitute teacher snapped. All four of us turned. "Please listen for your attendance."

Ronnie immediately whipped around, a look of horror planted on his face.

"What's wrong?" I asked, a bit surprised not to see that goofy smile on him.

He didn't hear me. "What is she doing here?" I heard him mumble.

"Ronnie?" Liam said.

He looked up.

"Is everything okay?" Tessa asked.

He nodded. "Yeah, everything is fine."

"Reynato Reynaldo Reynardo," called the teacher.

Ronnie slowly turned, seeming nervous. Then I realized that the substitute looked a bit like Ronnie- were they related? If they were, Ronnie didn't seem to like her.

"Present," he said quietly.

"I couldn't hear you," she spat, glaring straight at him.

"I'm here!" He snapped back.

She stared at him. "Meet me after class, that attitude is unacceptable."

He scoffed and turned around as she continued.

"Ronnie, is that your-" Tessa began.

"She's my aunt," Ronnie said glumly. "Tía Rosa."

Not wanting to pry, we all stayed silent. The class began and Tía Rosa began passing out papers, she glared at us when she came to our table. When she was done, she walked to us. "Miss me, el huérfano?" she said to Ronnie.

"Not really, la puta." Although none of us knew what huérfano meant, we definitely knew what puta meant.

She laughed. "Always the rebellious one, just like your parents."
