"Mon, Laysia lets go. We have to go get your sister."
I yelled for my youngest two children as my husband, Cartrell and I finished getting dressed.
He looked in the mirror at his red Hollister sweater, Hollister jeans with his red Toms shoes, silver cross necklace and silver watch.
I put on my jewelry that goes with my black sweater, cheetah print scarf, jeans, tan heels, and black purse.
"Have you talk to her today?"
Cartrell sat on the bed and admired me.
"No, yesterday. We have to be there by 2. Its 11:30. We have atleast an hour and 30 minute drive and that's if traffic isn't bad."
We made our way into the living room.
Stacy Smith-Adams, the mom, that's me. I stand at 5'4, athletic figure, caramel skin, short haircut, and dark brown eyes that will make your heart melt.
My husband Cartrell Adams stand at 5'9. He has a muscular figure, dark brown eyes, works in construction.
Im a 9th grade English teacher at Southside High in Greenville, SC. We live in a three bedroom apartment, boys share a room, girls share a room.
They don't like it but they'll deal with it until they get their own. And right now none of them is ready for their own so oh well.
Boohoo cry me a river.
Trell and I have 4 wonderful children together but from past relationships.
Jaquan and Tanaje, my two. Montray and Malaysia, his two.
Times get hard, things get rough but before my mother past she made sure I knew that the mighty God we serve will never put us through nothing we can't handle.
Trell and I don't always agree with the things our children do but my mother also told us you can raise a child the way you want em to go and pray they follow but the devil is strong.
They may let him in, but it takes a praying mother to get him out.
The devil can't have my kids.
Not today, not tomorrow, not ever.
