Chapt. 28 - Taj

Ray: Take off tonight, got something special for you since we never got the chance to go on our date.

I couldn't help but smile at Ray's text. She already knows she gone have to work for me, I'm not easy. If I was she would've got me when I first met her through Quan.

After calling the strip club and letting them know I'm taking tonight off I turned on the news to check the weather.

Damn its mad cold out there.

Winter done hit and I don't have time to be cold. That shit for the birds, but I can be warm and cute at the same time.

After showering in my sweet smelling Caress body wash I brushed my teeth as I let my body air dry since Lay's not home and I got the room to myself.

"Taj !"

My mother heavily knocked on our room door.

"What?!"

"Need you to stay with Quan tonight !"

Ugh !

"I have plans ! Where's Keisha?!"

I admired my body in the mirror as I received another text.

I'm getting thick in all the right places. Ayyee !

Ray: I know you've seen my text. We on tonight or what?

Its something about a double text from the right person that makes me feel wanted.

"She's working a double at the hospital tonight ! She's coming in the morning !"

"Iight ma, whatever !"

I have to stay with Quan tonight. At least let me make sure he's good before I leave.

After lotioning my body down and applying perfume I got dressed in my black Adidas jogging suit with the gold stripes/writing, black undershirt, and my Jordan Retro 12s.

I checked myself out in the mirror before flat ironing my hair to my liking.

"Bro you good?"

Quan looked me up and down as I walked in the living room. He sat there watching The Fresh Prince as he did his squishy ball exercises.

"Yeah. Where you going?"

"Not sure, but I'll be with Ray."

He nodded before slowly standing up. He stood there a minute so he wouldn't make himself dizzy.

As he made his way to the bathroom I got his pain pill, muscle spasm meds and a bottle of water.

Come on, I'm ready.

I watched my brother make his way from the bathroom to his bedroom. I helped him get in bed before giving his meds.

"Leave the dim light on in the bathroom and leave a lamp on. Go ahead with ya plans, I'll be iight. Pain meds gone knock me out."

I sat his water on his nightstand before kissing his forehead and turning the light off. I grabbed my Marilyn Monroe wallet and turned the living room TV off.

"Be careful Taj! I love you !"
