"You got me here for this Quita?"
She sat on her bed looking down at the floor like she always does when I fuss.
"I came cause you said you needed help ma. But you got me here cause you missed me."
"Ray we got so many damn memories right here. This room, this apartment, this city. How I'm suppose to just give that up? Why we can't just work shit out and make it right?"
I shook my head standing against the all.
"Cause I moved on. We agreed to keep shit friendly. But you can't seem to let go. I told you I moved on. This is nothing nomo."
Tears ran down her face as she stared at me. I know how we ended was fucked up, we both cheated on each other. We both hurt each other, but its broken. Shattered pieces that can't be fixed.
"So it was just that easy for you to go find another bitch. She ain't me, she can't please you like me."
"Here go a stack, do what you need to do with it. I'm out."
Before I got to the front door Quita grabbed me by my shirt and wrapped her arms around me.
"I love you Ray. Just be careful out there, I heard about what's going on."
"What you hear?"
"Omar after Quan and could be coming for you too. Its all about who Quan daddy is."
"Who told you this stuff?"
"Sweetness from the strip club. You know Asha, the bi girl."
Memories of me and Asha kissing all over each other came back to my mind. That was a good night, I was drunk as fuck and she had her way with me.
But Quita doesn't know.
"Yeah I remember her, how could I forget."
She looked up at me.
"The fuck you mean how could you forget?"
I shook my head.
"Nun baby. I'm bout to go."
A smile sneaked up on her face.
"Spend the night. I want to have a lil something. A card party or something."
"Let me think about it. I'll be back."
I kissed her forehead as we hugged.
"Be safe Ray."
I pulled up my shirt.
"I'm always safe princess."
.....................................
After riding around for a good 30 mins I seen Sweetness standing outside of the store..
"Yo Asha !! Come here !!"
She scoped me out for awhile before realizing who I was and making her way to my car.
"Hey boo, what's up?"
"Get in, I need to holla at you."
I watched as her thickness made its way in the seat.
"What's up? You good?"
"Yeah I'm good. But what Omar been talking?"
She sat there and shook her head.
"I know you know something. What's up?"
"Well first off he mad that a stripper quit cause she was moving or some shit. He's pissed at her and looking for her. Then he's looking for you and Quan."
"Why?"
"Cause Quan daddy is DC. DC and Omar use to be best friends. Omar had him killed and took over... He couldn't stand the thought of DC being a boss and he feel like Quan tryna be above him. He not letting that happen. Quan know more about this shit than any of his other workers."
"Preciate the info.. I'll see you round."
She leaned over and tried to kiss me but I pushed her away.
"Don't act like you don't miss me. You smell like Quita. Y'all back at it? I bet she still don't know."
"Man what we doing ain't yo business Asha. I'll see you round. I gotta go."
She slowly made her way out the car then walked away. I couldn't help but laugh. These bitches be tripping bout me and ion do shit to em.
Guess its my good looks and charm.
