Tajane Smith, 19, standing at 5'2. Big brown eyes and long black hair. Beautiful chocolate skin and a figure that keep niggas wanting me but... Im gay.

I've been locked up for the last six months over some bullshit. I stole some stuff for my ex girlfriend out of the mall, we got caught as we were leaving and she put it all on me. Broke up with me after I was sentenced and I haven't heard from her since.

She was my first love. I've always been in and out of trouble, that wasnt my first time going to jail. I dropped out of school to be with my first love. Started running the streets and boom here I am.

A young black girl with no education, a drug dealing brother, a white stepdad, two mixed step siblings, and a cursing Christian mother.

Yeah my life is perfect alright.

I walked out into the beaming sun with my gray sweatpants, red top, gray jacket, and my red/gray Nikes and my hair in a nappy bun

I walked out into the beaming sun with my gray sweatpants, red top, gray jacket, and my red/gray Nikes and my hair in a nappy bun. For it to be fall in November it sure is hot as hell.

"You know Im grown, I don't need you out here with me like a lil kid."

The officer ignored me and continued to wait with me.

I covered my eyes as I looked around.

Where the hell they at man?

"Can you atleast tell me the time?"

He checked his watch.

"2:15"

Soon I noticed Trell, my stepdad tan four door Ford truck pull up.

Why the hell she bring him?

My stepdad and I don't always see eye to eye. Quan and I don't know our real dad. So Quan has always been my big brother and my dad.

Ill listen to him before Trell any day.

(Name pronounce: Tah-Na-Jae)

"Tanajeeeeee !!!"

Laysia came running my way with her arms wide open.

"Hey baby, I missed you."

She hugged me tight as tears ran down her face.

"You look good Taj."

Mon gave me his infamous one arm hug.

"You still ugly as fuck lil bro."

"Language, language."

I rolled my eyes still holding Laysia close to me.

"Hello Trell, how you been?"

Not that I really care.

"Good, how they treat you in there?"

"Like royalty."

My mother hugged me as we walked to the truck and whispered in my ear.

"Cut it out Taj, not today."

...............................

After taking our seats and placing our orders at Waffle House everyone sat quiet.

"So what's next for you?"

"What you mean what's next?"

The irritation in my voice must've been noticeable cause my mother tapped my leg under the table.

"You gone go back to school and get your GED or what?"

I shrugged my shoulders.

"I don't understand that language Taj."

"I don't know Trell."

My mother bumped him with her elbow as a sign of let it go.

Everyone ate quietly.

"Where's Quan?"

"Hitting the block. He said he'll see you tonight if he come home."

I nodded my head as we finished up.

"Can we go? I just want to finally get some sleep. I miss my bed."

We got up to leave until I was approached by a tall lightskin guy with long dreads.

"What up gorgeous?"

As always I said nothing. I just pulled up my jacket sleeve and showed him the lesbian tattoo on my forearm.

As always the look on his face was priceless.

I kill em every time.
