I hate my life yo.
We live in this small ass apartment, I share a room with my big brother.
Two grown ass men sharing a room.
My dad not even trying to allow me to have a cell phone, so when Quan home I have to use his.
Its all bullshit man.
Montray Adams, 20 year old, 5'9 mixed boy with curly hair. Im slim with brown eyes. Malaysia is my lil sister and Cartrell is my dad. I graduated from Southside High where my mom is a teacher.
After I graduated my dad gave me two options, work or go to school.
So far Ive done neither. I just link up with my bestfriend, Shad, and we get money any way we can.
"Mon, Shad outside !"
I finished brushing my teeth before putting in my silver earring.
I checked myself out in the mirror. My red/black plaid tank top with my black joggers, red/black J's with a matching G-Shock watch and silver chain.
"What up guy?"
Shad and I dapped eachother up as we sat on the steps outside my apartment.
"Not shit, bout to hit up the plug then figure out how to make some benjis today."
Shad started to break down a gar until Ms. Debra, our nosey ass neighbor came outside.
"Now I know yall know better than to smoke that shit outside my door. I got asthma and..."
I cut her off.
"We know Ms. Debra, 65 with asthma, bronchitis and the smoke could kill your cats. We sorry."
We got up and started to leave before she called my name.
"Can you come dump my cats litter box for me baby?"
I felt myself getting irritated as Shad bust out laughing.
"Ill do it later."
Shad and I went to the park and waited for Ray to bring us some loud.
"Your sister home yet?"
I nodded my head as I watched the kids play.
"Yeah, she in there sleep."
"See if she want to smoke."
I shook my head.
"Im not walking back over there, she can hit it next time."
Ray pulled up and walked over to us.
"Where Quan?"
She looked around before her and Shad did an exchange.
"Fucking on some chick, you know how he do."
She turned to walk off before I got up and joined her.
"Put me on Ray. I need some money."
She looked at me before she bust out laughing.
"You want me to die or something? Quan will kill me."
"Why he got to know?"
She stood there and looked around.
"Nah Mon, I can't do it. If anybody gone teach you the game it need to be Quan. He got mad respect around here and if these mfs know you his guy, they won't fuck with you."
"But you know he wont Ray. Mfs already know we brothers. We known round here. But you know he not gone let me on. Help a young nigga out."
I could tell she was thinking as she looked around again.
"Ill tell you what. . Tomorrow morning after Quan leave, meet me at the store round the corner. Ill let you run a lil something for me."
The inside of me was cheesing from ear to ear and jumping around but I kept a straight face.
"Iight bet."
"Yo brother can't know Mon. Ya daddy either, just don't tell no damn body."
I nodded then walked off as she got in her car.
By the time I got back to the table Shad had the blunt lit.
"What was that about?"
I took the blunt and hit it.
"Hold on."
I watched as Ray pulled out and made sure she was out of sight.
"We bout to get paid nigga."
We dapped eachother up.
"She gone let me do some work for her tomorrow. What I make ill split it with you."
Shad looked at me crazy.
"Split? Nigga this ain't no bartending shit. Why you didn't get me put on? We partnas right? I would've got you on."
Shad took the blunt and hit it.
"We been partnas since elementary. Im gone make sure we eat. I had to beg for myself. When I get officially on then ill put you on. Trust me kid. I got you."
Shad looked at me with a hard stare.
"Iight. . I trust you, don't fuck this up man."
"I wont. I got it."
