#1 coming home from tour

You and Shawn have been friends for what feels like forever. But since his career was taking off you hadn't spent much time together. So when he came back over Christmas to visit friends and family of course you were the first one to drive over to his house. 

Excitement rushes through your veins as you get out of your car and walk to his front door. 

You ring the doorbell and within seconds it is opened and a wide smiling Shawn is standing in front of you. At first you dont move but then you run into his arms and he hugs you tight. 

"I missed you so much" he whispers and you feel your heart skipping a beat. 

You cant help but blush at your reaction. "I missed you too" you say as you get out of his arms and follow him upstairs into his room. All the time you can't seem to let go of staring at him. He got taller and built muscles. But that isn't what had changed. You feel your legs shaking a little as you sit down next to Shawn on his bed. 

"You need to tell me everything." You say, still not taking your eyes off of him. 

He starts to tell you everything about the tour, from the big crowds to the crazy fan stories and meeting Taylor of course. At some point his hand suddenly brushes your arm and you jerk at the touch. As Shawn looks up at you, you start blushing. 

Why were you acting so weird? 

"Listen, Y/N." Shawn speaks up. He has his hands in his lap, seeming to be really interested in them. "I know we've been friends forever and I really don't want to ruin our friendship but..." 

your heart starts racing. "I really missed you and I don't know why I needed to be separated from you for realizing this but I think.. I think I like you, you know... Not just as a best friend." He finally stops looking down but straight into your eyes. 

"Will you go on a date with me?" That is when you realize what has changed. It isn't just him. It is you. Your feelings for him have changed. 

And so you nod. "I'd love to go on a date with you." You say and Shawn's eyes start to sparkle as he slowly gets closer to you until he is only inches away and finally softly presses his lips on yours.
