#39 birthday boy

A/n: holy fucking shit its Shawns 19th birthday today! I CANT BELIEVE IT, HE'S ACTUALLY GROWING UP CAN SOMEONE STOP HIM???

So in celebration of his birthday I wrote this. I'm gonna post the second part tomorrow as where I am right now it technically isn't his birthday until in about 2 hours lol

Your phone rang, indicating you had just gotten a new text. Quickly you grabbed it from the kitchen counter it was laying on. Andrew: we've just landed. Gonna be at his place in about 40 minutes. A smile spread across your face. Finally. In 40 minutes you'd have your boyfriend back.

"So everyone" you spoke up, turning around to make sure everyone was listening. "They're gonna be here in about 40 minutes. Make sure all of you got a place to hide for when they are getting up here. And please be quiet until the lights are being turned on."

Everyone yelled and nodded, wondering around to find a place to hide. Shawns new condo wasn't massive but it was still big enough for all the people you had invited, which were quite a lot, you had to admit.

As you looked around your smile brightened. The place looked beautiful. Candles were lightened on the small table in the living room. Big golden and white Ballons were floating around and a huge 19 was hanging in front of the windows. On the wall next to the dining room table a festoon saying "happy birthday" was hung up and on the balcony outside the couches were filled with comfy pillows, the walls were decorated with chains of lights and a few more chairs had been added so everyone would find a place to sit on.

Eventually you saw Karen and Manny with some of Shawns aunts and uncles behind the big white couch. The others were either behind the kitchen counter, outside on the huge balcony or under the dining table.

"Y/n" Aaliyah whisper yelled. "Over here's still room for you." She waved you to where herself and her two best friends where crouching down next to the big wooden cupboard. Just as you got to them the doorbell rang.

Confused Aaliyah and you exchanged looks. Shawn wouldn't ring at his own condo would he? "THE CAKE" you exclaimed as realisation hit you. Quickly you rushed over to the door and ran downstairs. You paid the man who had brought the cake over and balanced the cake as best as possible.

Aaliyah held open the door for you so you could get in quickly. You put the cake into the fridge before rushing back to your hiding spot. Just as you got there you got another text from Andrew.

"They're here" you whisper yelled, just loud enough for everyone to hear. Someone turned the lights off and immediately it was pitch black as you had closed the curtains before, only the candles still spreading a tiny bit of light.

Around you everything was quiet. Suddenly you became really anxious. What if Shawn didn't even like all of this? What if he didn't want the surprise party you had organised for him? You've had had the idea a long time ago when he told you he'd come back from tour for a couple of days the day before his birthday.

You had organised everything. You had bought the decorations, decided on a birthday cake and with Karen's help you had invited all his family and friends. As soon as all that was done you had called Andrew, explaining your plans. Of course he promised not to tell Shawns about it and agreed on coming with him, Geoff and Matt to the condo.

Aaliyah must have noticed how you had tensed cause she assuringly squished your hand. "He's gonna love it." You smiled at her thankfully.
Suddenly you heard voices coming from behind from outside the condo and a key unlocking the door. You took in a sharp breath.

Finally the door opened, the lights were turned on and "SURPRISE" it came from everyone jumping out of their spots. Shawn looked around, the confusion which was fist written all over his face soon being replaced with a huge grin.

As he fully entered the condo Karen and Manny made their way over to him to each embrace him in a big hug. Everyone was then rushing over to Shawn and greeting him. You watched it a little from a far, a bi smile plastered on your face.

Everyone was so happy, music was beginning to play in the background and Shawn in the middle of everything couldn't stop smiling and laughing whilst hugging and greeting all his loved ones which he hadn't seen in so long. Eventually everyone had engulfed him and were now spreading around in the whole condo, either getting some drinks or food that was laying out on the finding table.

You saw how Shawn was searching the room for something and his eyes lit up as he spotted you. Immediately he came rushing over to we're you were standing and within seconds you were wrapped in his big arms. You wrapped yours around his torso pressing him against you as tight as possible. Eventually you parted a little, and you looked at each other still wrapped in each other's arms.

"I've missed you so much" Shawn mumbled against your ear. You giggle at the soft touch. "I've missed you too" you smile brightly up at him. "This is insane" he says, looking around and everything going on in his condo. "I thought a surprise birthday party would be a nice thing to do" you chuckled. His eyes widened. "You did all of this?" he gasps and you nod, blushing a little. Within seconds Shawns big and warm hands cupped your face and softly, he presses a passionate kiss onto your lips. "Thank you so much" he smiles into the kiss. "You're welcome my love" you smile back at him.

"Shawn you NEED to try this food" Matt suddenly yells over from the kitchen. "The food y/n ordered is unbelievable!" Shawn laughed as he grabbed your hand in his. "Lets join the others?" He asks and you nod, following him into the crowd.
