I didn't know how long the silence has followed us, but I know it must have been a few hours by now. The sun was about to completely set and the night was about to own time. Every minute we are getting closer to the lights, which I'm assuming is where some part of the Arc had crashed landed. I feel my pulse start to race as we are just a few feet away.
We slow to a stop and I hold my hand up slightly blocking my eyes from the bright lights.
"Look at that..." I hear Clarke breath out in awe. I turn to stare at her slightly and I almost wish I could feel the same.
"How many are there?" I watch as Anya stares at the piece of the arch and the high wire fences surrounding it.
"Who knows. Could be 15, could be 200," I shrug as I answer and I take one small step forward.
Clarke turns back and starts to remove the rope from Anya's wrists, "I'm letting you go. I'm not weak, but I'm not like you. Our only chance against Mount Weather is if we fight together. To beat them, we'll need our technology and your knowledge of this world. I know my people will help, the question is will ours?"
I stare between the two as the silence engulfs us once again. I turn back and my eyes squint at the bright lights of the arc. "The commander was my second. I can get an audience.."
I meet Anya's gaze and I nod at her quickly, "Please hurry," After Clarke finishes speaking Anya turns back to find her people. I watch as she walks away and for a minute everything seems to be okay.
Until a gunshot rings out through the air and Anya's body falls limp onto the ground. I follow Clarke as she rushes over, but at the sound of another bullet I fall into the dirt. I groan and try to stand again, but I drop myself to the ground as another bullet is shock.
I watch Clarke as she crawls towards Anya's body. It seems like hours before I am hauled up to my feet. I ignore the slight pinch of pain in my lower right side as I am half carried, half dragged, passed the gate and into the Arc grounds. I watch as people start to yell and crowd around.
I look to my left to see Clarke being held up the same way, but her eyes barley remain open. I look forward to see a familiar face. I feel shock surround my entire body as I see the face of Clarke's supposed to be dead mother. Her eyes stay locked on her daughter and that's the last thing I remember seeing before my eyes roll back into my head.
