Oh Eld... You're so beautiful... Your blonde hair... Your blue eyes... Somehow you pull off that man bun... You are perfection.
You were in your favorite flower shop, for it was the season to buy flowers to plant in your small garden. Some plants you liked to grow from seeds, but others you had to buy pre-grown. Nonetheless they were all still beautiful to you.
A bright red rose caught your attention. You had to have it. You had to. You couldn't live without it. It was the most perfect thing that you had ever seen, until he grabbed the rose plant first. You let out a sad sigh that got his attention.
"Oh, I'm sorry Miss. Did you want this plant?" He asked ever so kindly.
"Ah, no no no. You can have it," you said starting to back away a bit. "I insist."
He chuckled. "Please, someone as beautiful as you should have this beautiful plant," his tone was slightly seductive. It caused you to blush. "Take it." He pushed the plant into your (large/small/medium/toned/boney) (s/c) arms.
You nodded in defeat. "Thank you..." You trailed off because you realized that you didn't know his name.
"Eld. Eld Gin." You smiled at his name.
"I'm (F/n) (L/n)." He complimented you by saying you attractive name did not compare to your beauty.
You two parted your separate ways. You went to pay for the plant, but when you got home and got ready to plant it you found a small, blue, folded piece of paper in one of the petals. You took it out, naturally curious as to what is was.
Let's get dinner.
Text me (555-)555-4545
-Eld Gin
That sneaky bastard. How did he even have time to do that? You had no clue, but you knew for sure you were going to text him.
You didn't want to seem too eager so you didn't reply until the next day. Too eager equals too desperate, and that's not what you are or want to seem. You knew how this worked.
To Eld:
Hello. It's (F/n). You wanted me to text you?
To (F/n):
Heyy. I was wondering if you were ever going to text me.
Dinner. Tonight. 5:40. (Favorite Restaurant). Be there.
You read it but did not reply.
You immediately went to your closet. You wanted to really wow him. You picked out your favorite (dress color), knee length dress paired with a sleek pair of black high heels. You also did your hair into a quick up-do.
5:40 came a whole lot sooner than you thought it would. Lucky for you the restaurant was basically across from your apartment so you weren't too late.
Eld had waited at the entrance for you. That was sweet of him. He ushered you in. He held doors open for you, and even pushed your chair in for you. He also pre-ordered for you both. Lucky he ordered your favorite food, (F/F). This was better than you could ever imagine.
"Oh Eld... You're so beautiful... Your blonde hair... Your blue eyes... Somehow you pull off that man bun... You are perfection." He chuckled at your compliment. His laugh made you smile like a fool.
He took your right hand in his hand from across that table. You couldn't hide your blush. You tried to keep your cool.
Something caught your eye. There was a ring... On his ring finger. You quickly pulled your hand or of his grip and looked slightly furious. "You're married?!" You said louder than what you should, catching a few people's attention.
"Sh sh. Calm down. People are looking. It's not what you think it is."
You were sceptical. "Oh really? Then please, enlighten me." You said sarcastically.
"I'm engaged... We're... We're just at a rough patch in our relationship. We decided to give each other a break. We agreed that we can both try and date again. I know it's strange-"
You cute him off. "I don't care if you and your fiance are 'at a rough patch in your relationship'. I still see it as you two are together. I'm not a homewrecker, nor do I intend to start being one. I thought you were a cute, single, humble guy. I guess I was wrong about you. It's disappointing really. I thought you could have been Mr Right. I was horribly wrong. Call me I guess if you're ever single. Maybe we can try again..." He sighed in defeat.
You grabbed your clutch bag and left. You weren't rude, you left $20 for your part of the bill.
Sad to say, this wasn't the first time something like this has happened to you. It was a horrible experience. But out of all of them you thought he was the best, a real catch, apparently not though.
A year and a half later
Your phone started to ring. It was an unknown number. Normally you'd just let it go straight to voice mail, but you decided to pick up this time.
"Hello, this is (F/n) speaking." You answered.
"Hey (F/n). It's Eld. I'm ready to try again." He answered. To your surprise he sounded broken yet hopeful. You were looking forward to getting to know him again.
"Maybe it'll go better this time... Hell. I hope it does."
