"You heard that," I ask. He nods and I sigh. "You can't tell anyone"

"If I heard correctly then your an Alpha's daughter," Brandon says.

"I am. I was the daughter of Alpha Eleazar Denali."

"You're a Denali?" I nod and look away. "My Alpha will be so surprised to hear this. He will freak out."

"No!" I had actually used an Alpha tone with him, I'm even shocked. "You can't tell anyone. Everyone has to believe that I am and had always been a Rogue. My father can't find me."

"Why not?"

"Because if my father finds me I'll be forced to be the Alpha of the Denali Pack and I don't want that. I've never wanted it."

"I see."

"You do?"

"Yeah, your dad was forcing you into something that you didn't want." My mouth opens in shock.

"So you're not all like pissed at me for not taking my rightful place as Alpha?"

"Nope."

"Oh my god Brandon, thank you for understanding."

I throw my arms around his neck and hug him, except I may have forgotten we were in a tree because we go tumbling down; braking branches on our way down. I land in the snow with Brandon ontop of me, we start laughing and Brandon gets up then helps me up, I pull myself up a little too hard and end up falling on Brandon, our faces inches apart.

"What is going on over here," one of the boys say while coming over to me and Brandon, he sees us and then walks away.

"Great," I mumble as I get off Brandon and lay in the snow next to him. "I hate the guys you are with."

"That makes two of us." I sit up and look at him, he just looks up at the canopy above us.

"Come on." I grab his arm and pull him up, I start pulling him farther into the woods and to a little special spot. I know exactly where we are in the woods.

I make him sit down across from me and make him tell me all about his Pack, I really hate Packs in general but Brandon has been a really good listener for me so I will be for him. Plus I've never had anyone else to talk to, especially a cute someone. Don't get me wrong, I mean he is good looking with his brown hair that falls just lightly into his golden brown eyes, slightly tanned skin-it's hard to tan when it's never really sunny here up in the mountains-, and you can see his muscles through his jacket.

"Our Alpha doesn't really like Rogues because we had a group of Rogues attack us recently. Plus our parents were killed by some Rogues," he tells me.

"Wait, did you just say 'our' parents? Like yours and the Alpha's parents," I ask. He nods. "But then that means that you have Alpha blood in you."

"Yeah, I know."

"Well didn't you ever want to become Alpha?"

"Me and my brother both did. But my father told me the only way I was going to become Alpha was if I fought my brother for it, I had no chance of winning. Alex was groomed to be the next Alpha by my father but we were both given our Alpha power at the same time. Alex challenged me to fight it out and I had no choice but to accept, I didn't want to look weak. I fought as hard and as long as I could, he ended up winning like I knew he would, our Pack lives in fear because of him though."

"Why?"

"Alex doesn't believe in second chances, he was taught discipline and that's what he gives the Pack. Everyone does what they are told and no one questions him."
