Chapter 24

(That's Xavier.)

I lunge at Tanya in my wolf with my teeth bared, but she changes into her white wolf and stands her ground. I growl at her and she kind of whimpers back at me, I jump at her and claw her side. She falls into the snow and before I can charge at her again, I'm tackled by a black wolf. I'm pinned to the ground and the wolf snarls at me. I growl back at the wolf, I'm not one to give up.

'Change back Vexy. Now,' Alex growls in my head. I do as he says and so does he, we both stand up and I look down at my body. Tanya's blood is on my arms and Tanya is still laying on the ground with my dad standing over her, and the rest of that stupid Pack.

"Come on Vexy. We're going inside," Alex says. Alex and I start walking away when I am grabbed and thrown into the snow, my father is standing above me.

"Don't touch my wife like that ever again," he growls at me. My dad is suddenly in the snow and Alex helps me up, I'm pushed behind him and into John.

"And you will not touch my mate like that ever again or I will kill you. I don't care if Denali and Full Moon have been allies for centuries, no one touches my mate."

My dad stands up but before he can go at Alex, Nick starts arguing with my father and then they walk off. Thankfully they take Tanya with them, I can't hide the smirk on my face. Alex turns towards me and it drops from my face, he grabs my arm and pulls me into the house.

"Why would you do that," Alex growls at me.

"Because I hate her Alex. And if you're going to defend her then don't talk to me," I say.

Alex wraps his arms around my waist and lays his head on my shoulder, I feel him kiss my mark.

"I'm not defending her Vexy. But I just need you to try to get along with her, for the time being." Alex looks at me. "Please?"

"I'm not making a promise that I will, but I'll make an attempt to stay away from her."

"Now I'm going to apologize to Nick for what happened."

"Now?"

"Yes now."

I look at him and try my best to look sad, he falls for it because he presses his lips to mine. My lower back hits the couch and then we both go tumbling over. Alex and I are laying on the floor and I start laughing, Alex joins me.

"I can't tell if you did that on purpose or not," I say

"It was somewhere between an accident and on purpose," Alex says.

The front door opens and in walks John, Eric, Brandon, Kyle, and some other guy I don't know. Alex gets up and walks over to them, they start whispering so I can't hear. I sit up and lean against the couch when they get dead silent for some reason, I look over at them.

"What's wrong," I ask.

"Nothing," Brandon snaps at me.

I get up and walk over to the group who is standing around a very anger Alex, I look at John for help. He just closes his eyes and sighs, he looks at me kind of apologetically.

"You're going to have to ask him about it Vexy," John says.

He makes everyone leave the house including Eric, leaving Alex and I alone. I place my hand on Alex's shoulder but he shoves it off, I feel hurt and wrap my arms around my stomach. Alex starts pacing in front of me, he won't look at me so I can't tell if he's pissed or angry; or just Alex.

"What's wrong Alex," I ask.

"Someone from Denali let it slip that you, my Luna, had slept with Nick before she left that Pack," Alex growls at me. "Did you!?"
