The Alpha's Rogue Mate

Chapter 11

We were running through the trees when I heard the soft thud of paws in the distance, Eric and I reach this cliff and skid to a stop before we actually fall off of it.

"Go forward. We'll follow the cliff until we find a way around it," I tell him.

Eric does what I say but we don't find a way around it, I slide off Eric's back and look over the cliff to see that it's just a huge drop off. It's more like we are on a mountain top.

"Well unless you wanna stay up here and be a prisoner. The only way out of here is down," I tell Eric while looking at him.

He spins around and starts growling at the trees, I know exactly what it is that he's growling at but I can't tell how far away they are from us. I walk over to Eric's side and put my hand on the fur that's standing up around his neck, he looks at me and whines. I know he's thinking that I won't be able to take care of myself when the wolves come.

"I'll be fine, I promise." I scratch behind his ear to comfort him. "You just make sure you make it out okay."

He nudges me with his nose and I feel my lips start forming into a smile but I quickly drop it when I hear the thudding getting closer. Eric stands in front of me and starts growling again, I look around for something I could use to protect me but there is literally nothing.

The first wolf that comes bursting through the trees is a huge black wolf that I assume is Alpha Alex.

Mine and his eyes meet for a second before Alpha Alex jumps at Eric, I start running towards the two fighting wolves when I'm slammed to the ground. I push against the chest of the person holding me down and I squirm underneath who ever it is.

"Stop it Vexy," Kyle's voice says harshly into my ear.

"Let me go Kyle," I yell at him. "I hate you and you're an asshole! I need to help Eric!"

"Stay out of it Vexy, we need to avoid-"

He is cut off by my hand throat chopping him and then tossing him into a very large rock. I start going towards a bloody Eric and Alex but my arms get pinned behind my back, I start squirming and then hear a tear. I feel a light breeze on my shoulder.

"You ripped my jacket you asshole," I yell at the person holding me. "Let me go!"

"Vexy stop," Kyle says. "You'll only make matters worse."

"Let go of me Kyle!"

I kick Kyle's shin and he lets go of me, I rush towards where the two wolves have crashed through the trees only to have two wolves block my path, they growl so they scare me; not going to work.

I jump up onto one of their backs and jump off when one claws my leg and I fall into the snow, I feel liquid dripping down my leg. I turn around and look at the wolves, they start circling me and I get up to watch their moves. One of them comes at me but I jump up into the air, not soon enough because my side gets scratched and I fall to the ground in a heap. The other wolf comes at me but I slide in the snow, his back paw getting my face.

I feel someone grab my arms and sit me up, the big gray wolf walks towards me slowly and when it's standing in front of me, opens it's big mouth and goes for my neck.

"Stop!"

The wolf and the person look at the trees, I look and see Alpha Alex standing there in nothing but jeans. My eyes open in shock as Kyle and Brandon carry a bloody and, hopefully, unconscious Eric. I fight against the person holding me but he grabs the back of my hair and yanks it so I'm looking up at him. A smiling John is looking down at me.
