Chapter 23

I look up at Alex and see that's he's being serious, and not just saying it to comfort me. I lay the side of my face against Alex's chest.

"I love you too Alex," I say.

Alex wraps his arms tighter around me and kisses my forehead, I smile and snuggle into his arms more. I love the feeling of him holding me, my mate, my love; my one and only. I feel Alex's breath on the top of my head and it washes away all of my worries, leaving me with a warm, tingling feeling.

"Alpha Alex," John yells while coming in through the broken sliding door. Naked.

Alex hides my face against his chest and tightens his arms around me, I just smile.

"What John," Alex growls at John. He must not want me to see anyone but him naked.

He probably looks really nice naked, especially with him being all muscular and-

'Naughty mind Vexy, naughty,' my mind tells me.

"You have to see something."

"Will you put some clothes on before I see it?"

I hear John leave and Alex lets me out from his chest, I smile at him. He looks at me curiously.

"Why are you smiling," Alex asks.

"You are so cute when you're jealous," I tell him while pinching his cheek. He takes my hand off his cheek.

"I am not jealous."

"You're right, you're just super possessive."

Before he can say anything I cup his face and gently pull his lips to mine. I push him down.

"You're mine."

"I know that."

John comes back in and we get up, Alex grabs my hand and we head towards the front door. I gesture for Eric to follow us and he does, we walk outside to see wolves on Alex's front lawn.

"I thought you said they weren't coming till tomorrow," I whisper to Alex.

"They were suppose to come tomorrow," Alex whispers back.

I smell something familiar and start to head towards it when Alex grabs my arms and pulls me back to him. I bury my face in Alex's shirt but not before getting a look from Eric. I hear footsteps coming up behind us.

"Alex, how are you," my dad's voice asks while coming closer.

"Alpha Eleazar how are you," Alex asks.

"It's just Eleazar now Alpha Alex. I gave my title to Ni- Alpha Nick."

"I'm sorry to hear that Eleazar, you were a really good Alpha sir." I feel Alex's arms tighten around me. "Hey Nick!"

"Hey Alex," Nick's voice says while getting closer.

"Heard you finally made Alpha, that's great."

"I know, it's not easy but I manage." I hear laughter and then it stops. "Who's this little girl clinging to you Alex?"

"She's not clinging to me Nick. She gets shy around people, and she's my mate," Alex growls.

"I didn't mean to offend her Alex." I feel Nick's hand on my shoulder. "Can we see the Luna?"

"Show them your face." Alex turns me around but instead of looking at them I keep my face down and my hair covering my face.

"Luna," my dad asks. I look up at him. "She's beautiful Alex."

I look at Nick and he smiles, I look back at Alex kind of surprised. He just smiles at me and I look back at my father, he gives me a questionable look.

"If you don't mind my asking, but what is your name Luna," my dad asks.

"Vexy," I whisper but I know he heard me.

I am suddenly pulled out of Alex's arms and into my fathers, he holds me tightly. I haven't been in his arms for so long that I forgot how they felt, tears are threatening to fall. I slowly wrap my arms around my fathers body and feel something wet hit my head, I look up and see my dad crying.

"My sweet baby girl. I've missed you," my dad squeezes me. "Your mother and I-"

"She's not my mother," I snap at him while pulling myself out of his arms.

"Vexy why are you acting like this?"

"Because I hate her!"

Everyone goes silent and I can feel them looking at us, I don't care though as I stare into my fathers eyes.

"You won't talk about your mother like that Vexy Ann Denali!"

"She's not my mother!"

"She is your mother and you will treat her with respect!"

My dad grabs my arms and grips them tightly. I look at him and then push myself out of his arms again.

"You can't tell me what to do! You're not my Alpha!" I can tell everyone is listening closely. "Or my father!"

"Vexy," Alex says. I feel him grab for my arm but I yank it away and look at him.

"No! I don't want him here anymore! I don't want any of them there!"

Alex grabs my arms and pulls me to his chest, I lay my head on his chest and breath in his scent. I close my eyes and it calms me down, Alex's fingers trail up and down my arm; leaving goosebumps on my arms. Alex kisses my cheek and I wrap my arms around his waist, his body is so familiar now.

"Eleazar," a woman's voice says.

My eyes shoot open as I recognize the voice, so she did come with my father. I should've known because she is always with him, no matter where it is. I pull away from Alex slightly and see the monster clinging my father, a small growl escapes my throat.

"Vexy is that you," Tanya asks. I glare at her as I feel my teeth get longer. "Your father and I have missed you so much sweetie. We're so glad we've finally found you."

I snap my teeth at her and everyone around me backs up, I feel my nails getting longer and growing into claws. I look down at my body in time to see it change into my big, red wolf.
