IN MY OPINION
most books make depression just seem like a joke
MOST BOOKS
IM NOT SAYING EVERY BOOK BUT MOST
the main character gets depressed if someone bumps into them in the hallway or something
or they go through a simple breakup
I just dont think people know the true meaning of depression
and theyre making it seem so dramatic too
I AM NOT BEING MEAN IK WHAT SOME PEOPLE GO THROUGH BUT HEAR ME OUT PLEASE

tia and romeo are dating and everything is going along all fine until one day
ROMEO GLANCED AT ANOTHER GIRL

FOR 2 SECONDS
OMG HOW COULD HE?!?!?!!?!?
so tia automatically jumps to conclusions,
runs home,
doesnt give romeo time to explain
and runs in the bathroom
and cuts or takes pills
and he magically walks in at just the right moment
and woah

she lives
everytime
that is what I meant by overdramatic
like it seems like they dont understand what Its like and they make it seem like "oh lol I dropped my phone! better go kms lol brb"

I just personally do not think people understand depression truly
