Kate| Chapter 5

Our first day of school was today and when I got up I was so excited. I have always loved school and now I have people, who are like my new family, to go with. I went to my wardrobe and pulled out my favourite shirt and jeans along with a pair of floral Doc Martens. I also curled my hair, did simple makeup and put on my necklace that my grandmother got me (MEDIA).
I walked down to go have breakfast and saw Preston "Morning Preston. Is anyone else awake?" "Not that I've seen Kate. Are you excited for school?" I smiled widely and answered "Yeah I am. I have always liked school so I'm happy to go back" then my dad walked in "Good morning P. Katy. Since you are ready for school can you please go help Maddie and Macy get ready? I'm driving half of you kids to school today." "Okay dad, I will be back soon" I skipped away to help the two youngest get ready to leave.

Macy chose a cute little dress to wear along with black flats

And Maddie wore a simple jumpsuit (romper) and nude sandals

Both girls looked adorable and when they finished getting changed we headed downstairs so they could eat. As we got to the kitchen the boys and Skyllar were all talking until Noah looked up at us. "You girls look nice" I just smiled at him and replied "Thank you Noah. You don't look so bad yourself" then Jerome and Mitch walked in, Macy ran up to Jerome and said excitedly"Daddy, look what Kate helped me pick out for school" Jerome chuckled and replied whilst hugging Macy "You look gorgeous princess." Then he looked to me and said "Thank you for helping her get ready. Noah should take a page out of your book." I laughed and turned to see Noah go bright red. I went over to the others and sat in between Skyllar and Robyn, and opposite Noah. Sky was the first to speak "So when are you two going to admit it?" I knew she meant me and Noah because since we first met the girls have been teasing me about liking Noah but not telling him. Noah had been hassled about it too by Joey and Dex but we both were too scared to do anything about it. "Sky, you know they are both too chicken to admit it" Dex answered for us and both Noah and I went a deep shade of red as my dad and Lachlan walked in with car keys. "Come on guys four of you are going with me and four with Rob" "Yep so organise it between yourselves quickly" Robyn, Sky, Dex and Joey said at once "We'll go with Rob" I sighed in defeat knowing that they had planed it before the dads came in "Okay then. Noah, Kate, Maddie and Macy let's go" Brooke kinda did her own thing and that kept her happy so when she isn't around the rest of us we don't question it because ever since her accident she tells Preston everything so we know she is fine.

After the awkward drive to school Lachlan said "Noah and Kate, Mitch is picking you up this afternoon. I've got to take the other two to their school now bye." Noah looked at me and said "We should go get our schedules and locker numbers" I nodded and he grabbed my hand.

*** Flashback***

Everyone was busy out shopping for food and decorations for the kids rooms except Noah and I. I was in the kitchen making us a sandwich each until he walked in and said "Hey Kate, I know we haven't known each other very long but whenever you laugh my heart skips a beat and you ars the most intriguing girl I have ever met. So I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me?" I stood there shocked but pleasantly surprised. When I came to my senses I realised my dad would kill him so I said "Noah, I would say yes but my dad would kill you if he found knew. I like you to much to let that happen." He thought for a moment and spoke up "I understand but what if we kept it a secret relationship until you think we should go public?" I smiled at his idea, it could work "What about the other kids? The girls have been hassling me about liking you for a while." "Really? The guys have been doing the same to me." We both laughed and when we had calmed down he said "Kate, will you be my secret girlfriend?" I replied with "Yes. I would be honoured."

***End Flashback***

I smiled at the memory as we walked hand in hand to the front office. Noah and I had almost all the same classes except art and gym and our lockers were only three away from each other. The others all walked up and Noah let go of my hand, Sky bounced over and whispered to me "I saw you guys holding hands. You are so busted." I just giggled quietly at her comment and told her I'd explain later. Turns out all our lockers were together and I had art with Dex and gym with Robyn and Skyllar.

This new school will be fun.
