Chapter 5

Worthless

Brooke's POV

Once I said that I said "Wait. No you don't want someone like me. I'm worthless."

"You don't look worthle-"

I walk away and run down the hill.

I look back and see no one. I'm going crazy. He was a figment of my imagination. I walk slowly home regretting almost every single thing I just did. He looked and felt real. But he disappeared like magic.

As I got to the big house it was already pouring rain. I knock on the door and put my hoodie over my head and look down at the ground. I hear someone coming towards the door.

"Hello! Are you lost?" I hear Kate say.

"No. I live here." I tell her.

"You must be mistaken for a different house." She tells me.

"Kate listen to me let me in." I command.

"How do you know my name?"

"I live here. I've told you already."

"B-but you-"

"Where is everyone Kate?"

"Your freaking me out....."

"KATE!" I yell as she slams the door.

Gosh. I guess I don't look like myself then.

I walk towards the park and sit on the park bench in the rain. Can life just stop torturing me? I don't even have my phone to contact anyone. I want to sit here and die. Maybe I can go jump again. It's better than sitting here and starving to death. There's not much I can do.

I then walk towards the hill again. This time no turning back.

"1

2

3-"

"Brooke!" I hear a voice yell.

"You can't stop me! Not this time."

"Come back home. Please." I hear the voice get closer.

I walk off the edge.

Preston's POV

I see Brooke walk off the cliff. I never knew she was sad or depressed. She seemed happy. I need to call 911 to make sure my daughter is okay.

"Hello what's the emergency?"

"I just saw my daughter walk off a cliff"

"It's ok sir tell me the address."

"5125 cherry-mound Flordia"

"We'll  be there in a couple minutes."

They hang up and I run to the bottom of the cliff.

I see Brooke lying on the ground with scars all over her body.

"Brooke. Please be okay.."

I see the ambulance come and they put her on a stretcher.

That feeling broke my heart to know she would do that.
