"Wake up Beautiful," a husky voice whispers into my ear. "Your hair is a mess and you look like shit."
I open my eyes and I smile, "I disagree, I always look great."
Mason laughs, "well we're already late for school we could always skip and..." He trails off and smirked at me.
I shake my head, "not going to happen. I've got to go to art, I have to do this massive assignment."
"Oh yeah, why were you covered in paint yesterday?"
I laugh, "Logan."
Mason frowns, "that hippie guy?"
"It's called being a hipster. I used to dress like that you know."
He laughs, "when you were Florence?"
I sit up and the blankets fall, exposing me to the warm morning sun but I don't care. "How do you know about that name?"
Mason doesn't answer as his gaze is fixed firmly on my breasts. I fold my arms, boys. "Um, you told me the other night when you were pissed." He says the grin falling from his face, "wait, I thought you were bullshiting."
I run a hand through my hair and mentally set myself for a fake smile. I laugh and smirk up at him. "It's nothing just some shit the drunk Belle came up with."
He looks at me, it's obvious he's not convinced but he just shrugs. "I won't ask any questions but I can help take your mind off of things," he says raising his eyebrows suggestively.
I smile at him, "thanks for the offer but I really should be getting to school."
Mason sighs and collapses onto my bed and looks up at me. "Beautiful, I don't want to go to school."
I laugh, "then don't. You can stay here, just don't drink all my booze or smoke all my pot."
He pouts, "but what will I do all day then?"
"You can go up into the bush and dry out my plants if you want." I suggest hopefully. My stocks are going dry but I really can't be fucked.
"What do I get if I do that?"
I shrug, "depends, what do you want?"
"Can you help me get my car back?"
Well that was unexpected. "Why, what happened?"
He runs his hand through his hair, "I lost this bet to a guy but I need my car back."
I laugh, "and how exactly am I going to help?"
He shrugs, "I don't know, just distract them while I steal my car back."
"Well, I've always loved a good adventure." I reason to myself.
"So tonight's okay?" He asks grinning.
I nod my head, "tonight, but my weed better be ready and don't take any."
He grins, "yeah okay, I'll be here when you get home."
*************
I slam my car door shut, my art pack and various papers balanced in my arms as I climb the steps up to the house. Before I can even attempt to open the door it swings open to reveal a shirtless Mason. He grins at me and takes all the papers balanced in my arms.
