I smile lopsidedly at Josh as he places me down gently on the sofa. I pull him down with me so he falls ontop of me.
He winks at me, "not tonight love." He pats my arm reasurringly, "maybe tomorrow."
I beam up at him, "you are actually a really nice guy."
He just smirks at me, "oh I am anything but nice."
I shake my head, "trust me on this one Josh." Then I lift my head up and whisper, "I somewhat know you and you are one nice fella." I collapse back onto the sofa with a groan, "and yeah you are right, I am way to tired to do anything right now."
He nods in agreement and begins to try and move away from me when I see something out the corner of my eye, pulling him back onto me I grasp his wrist in my hands. I squint my eyes as I examine the underside of it. He just watches me as my eyes take in every detail of the surprisingly under detailed symbol. It was just a small black circle with a triangle balanced on top of it, with a gap between the two shapes. My fingers brush over it, "what does it mean." I ask looking up into Josh's eyes.
His signature grin drops and he shrugs, "it doesn't mean anything."
I chew on the inside of my cheek thoughtfully, "and why is that?"
He smiles softly as his hand moves to caress the side of my face, "like I said, it doesn't mean anything, since when does everything have to mean something." He sighs, "that's just tiring, I think sometimes we just over think everything. It's just a symbol it can mean whatever the fuck we want it to mean and I just want it to mean nothing, and I don't think that is too much to ask."
I lift my face up to meet his lips as I kiss him softly, pulling away I smile, "no, not at all."
**************
The following morning Cystal had rung me demanding that we go out for lunch today with the rest of our friends as they ditch school to meet me outside a fish and chip shop.
Josh's sleek, black audi slows to a stop in front of the place that was practically dripping grease. Josh sighs as he looks at me, "are you sure you don't want them?"
I nod, "I did this to myself I don't want your pain killers, but thanks anyway," I smile reasurringly.
"Alright love, well call me if you need anything," he offers.
"Oh that reminds me, I think I'm staying at Shane's tonight," I say distractedly as I look out the window for any sign of my friends. When I cant see any of them I turn my attention back to Josh, he has an almost deadly look in his eyes. I hum, an amused smile on my face, "ah, I forgot that you're the jealous type."
He shrugs, "everyone gets jealous."
I shake my head, "I disagree, I don't."
He chuckles, "right then."
I smile, "is that british for you not beleiving me?"
"So you're saying if you found out I kissed a girl would you be pissed off?" He asks seriously.
"I don't know, I guess that I wouldn't be mad or anything but if the kiss meant anything it would be quite the betrayal," I say, my tone light and teasing. He just hums in response so I counter, "what would your reaction be if roles were reversed."
"Oh, I would fight him," he says without hesitation.
I nod, "yeah I gathered that."
"Why are you staying at Shane's?"
"I think Crystal wants to cheer me up or something, we'll probably just have a few drinks, listen to good music and just hang out in general."
I watch as Shane's truck pull up and everyone steps out, "I should probably go, do you want me to introduce you guys?"
