Chapter Nine

I spent the day with my mom. She felt our feud was getting out of hand and that we needed a "Girls Day Out". We shopped, got our nails done, and talked. Everything reminded me of Taylor. I saw him on everyone's face.The clothes in the shop stood out when it was something he would wear. 

"Honey. How are you holding up?" Mom said sipping her coffee. I wished she didn't ask. I looked down and swiped a hair out of my face.

"Uhh. Ok I guess." I said still not looking up.

"You know were trying to do what's best for you. By the way you should be happy Joe proposed." She said reassuring me.

"Well I'd find it flattering if we were even together." I said raising my voice.

"Taylor. You know it's tradition for the man to ask the parents for their answer." Mom said setting her coffee down.

"Ya I know. Just I wish Taylor was the one asking you. Not Joe " I said poking my cake with my fork. 

"You'll be happy with our decision someday." Mom said. Sadly that won't EVER be the case. Mom dropped the subject and we went home. 

"Taylor. I'm going to go shower. I had a great time." She said and walked to her room. Wish I could say the same thing, but the day was pure torture. My phone beeped. I cringed knowing it was probably Taylor. I looked at my phone. Yup. 1 new text message from Taylor.

"Hey Baby, were gonna get through this." Then I felt breath on the back of my neck. 

I spun around and saw Joe with his jaw clenched.

"Who was that from?" He said though his teeth. I stuttered.

"Uhh. It wasFrom..Selena..Ya! she just texted me." I said trying to walk away. He yanked the phone out of my hands. He pushed buttons. he stopped in his tracks and turned around. 

"You lied to me!" He said gritting his teeth. I looked down. He grabbed my face in his hand hard.

"Ow!" I said. He slammed me against the door. 

"SHUT UP! How dare you lie to me! You've been talking to him, when you are NOT ALLOWED TOO!" He said clutching me harder. I tried to push his away. He pushed me harder against the door.

"I'm warning you now! If you do anything with him! You will pay!" He yelled. I just looked at him tears forming in my eyes.

"DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME BITCH!"He said angrily.

"Yes Joe." I said trying to stop the tears.

"Oh and if you tell your parents or anyone about me doing this to you! You will regret that also!" He said. I nodded. He started trembling and he released my face. I raised my hand to my face. It was in pain from being held so hard.

"Now kiss me." He said. He leaned in and crashed his lips to mine. He tried to let his tongue in but I refused it.

"Let me in!" He said in-between a kiss. I do as I was told. His kisses weren't the same as they used to be. They were used cruelly. Us making out felt wrong. He finally broke away. He smiled.

"Remember what I said." He said and walked away. I slid down the door. I cried in my knee's. For a couple reasons. 1.Joe kissed me 2. That I can't talk to Taylor 3.I WAS THREATENED!!!!! I ran to my room. WHERE IS MY ROMEO!!!!
